Video commentary is not the best but this gives a good idea on how to remove the lower suspension arm, Removal of Bumper is required there is a good video on youtube showing how to do this.
Just done the same job. Thanks for the video. You had removed the spring/shock absorber which makes control arm removal easier.It is possible to do with out this operation but extraction and replacement trickier as the torsion spring/shock assembly is in the way and needs tweeking up to aid removal.
Hi I removed the shock on the passenger side as I had to change the top mount, once I removed it I went and done the drivers side swing arm first (this was without removing the shock), to be honest I found it easier with the shock left on, when I got to do the passenger side with the shock off I found it awkward getting the ball joint out as the hub kept falling about. Definite better to leave shock on in my opinion. Glad the video has come in use I looked trying to find one before I started and could not so thats why I decided to do one.
Here in america the 2 bolts that hold on the LCA are some funky t5000 lookin things that take a 14 mm to get off. Lil 10 mm ones holding on the sway bar
