Fiat Avventura : Review : PowerDrift 

I am a Punto owner, and I know my car ain't perfect and this seemed a lil bit, just a wee bit anti-fiat. I know you were being honest about the Car, but it just did. I went for a test drive of the Avventura Diesel top end, and trust me, even with 205mm GC the car's got negligible body roll. They even let me take the car to distant abandoned locations and it really, really can handle off-road pretty nicely when compared to the wanna be crosses or even the Eco-Sport for that matter. The acceleration, the top speed, everything, it's a complete Indian petrolhead's crossover. And the one I drove had everything- Climate Control, Airbags and whatnot. I'm a PD fan, but I kinda sorta disliked this review. (No offense)

I usually agree with your reviews but this review on Avventura is not good.You make it look as if this car is bad & not worth it..I have seen the car & test drove it & I have to say for the price its the best car in its segment.It doesn't feel like a put up crossover like Etios Cross..Everything feels premium & has great build quality.Avventura is so good you can even compare it with Ecosport,Duster etc..For the price the car just feels premium & great value for money.Fiat is listening to their customers & giving what they expect..How will Fiat improve if you criticize their product's & give bad reputation for their brand!

I think what fiat needs is a break. They need to sell cars to survive in the Indian market, and for that they need to be price competitive. To all the enthusiasts crying for T-Jet, how many go out and buy Linea T-Jet over Honda city or whatever ill fitted piece of 10 Lac+ box. And you can still buy Linea T-Jet after paying 80K odd more over the Aventura right? It still has 195mm of ground clearance more space and all the bells and whistles. But alas Linea T-Jet hardly sells numbers..So does it make any sense to plonk it into a car that has to be priced cheaper? Speaking of safety features Indian Swift has scored a Zero in Europian NCAP safety rating, with NCAP terming it as an unstable structure. Does it stop any one of us Indians from queuing up (Both Swift and Dezire have waiting periods) for it..? If you're demanding safety from Fiat then demand it from every other manufacturer, that's when the Indian motoring scene will change and manufactures will compete in the right context.

I am big fan of PowerDrift. Love your reviews. But this wasn't a gr8 one. I know that Fiat FIRE petrol engine isn't a best in class. But if you don't get Diesel engine for review, it doesn't mean you can give harsh review on petrol. It creates that negative vibe for Avventura. Diesel will attract most of the prospective buyers. And If I put Diesel variant of Avventura in front of Polo & Toyota crossovers and even against mighty diesel Ford Eccosports, Avventura does make lot of sense. It looks elegant and has proven 1.3 multijet @ 92ps. It is built like a vault, comes with lot of goodies. And as you mentioned in your review 205 mm ground clearance. And last and not the list reasonable price tag. Lets be fair with your review as you always do. Sorry but I am disappointed to see this kind of review.

As long as its been reviewed by powerdrift I don't care if it's a petrol or diesel. All I care is there is something to watch every week. If you run out of cars, I can give you my decade old as Santro for reviewing..

So, that means that for a Fiat fan, the Palio 1.6 is still the best option out there. I really want to get one and give it the WRX makeover. Hope that day comes soon. An Abarth version of the Avventura would really kick some serious ass though. Can't wait for them to open the exclusive Abarth stores as they have been promising.

But if you don't wanna or can't then please give your feedback in my comment if you have already tested Ciaz. No one can review like you guys. I admire your hard work. You guys are awesome.

The MJD 92 BHP version is best suited for Avventura. Very appealing and along with the 205mm ground clearance, Fatter Tyre, Good ride and excellent handling i believe it scores high in Cross over segment. Any person who want to have a hatchback car that can take him/her a little more beyond normal tar roads, Avventura is the best option.

Please take it to other side of Lavasa city (village route which has ugly roads). Still you will be able to drive it smoothly because of better suspension setup and body dynamics.

The usual, spectacular visual treat by PowerDrift! Couldn't agree more that these guys @Fiat are morons. What was stopping them from creating a T-jet Avventura version? A half-baked cake will have no takers. I own a Punto, and I still think Fiat should've added the newer interiors retaining the old, timeless Punto design. The newer exterior fits Avventura very well, but not the Evo. Why fix it, if ain't broke? They're focusing only on cosmetics, not the entire package, I believe.

Finally you decide to review a Fiat car, and then goes on to chose the worst engined Fiat and dedicates an entire episode talking about its performance. That is some seriously fucked up shit. Fiat is a fringe player in India. Still, they make some of the most elegant-to-drive cars in our country. Hyundai even with its latest iteration of i20 hatch hasn't managed to match Punto's ride quality or handling. Being an enthusiast channel 'n all, you should at the bare minimum appreciate Fiat's efforts in bringing a real cross-over unlike the hot-selling crap of a car like Etios Cross. If I remember correctly, you had only praises for Etios Cross when it was launched. That is so un-enthusiast like behavior. Never expected this from you guys of all people. Terribly disappointed.

Drove d emotion model...didn't quite like it...lacks power as expected and d hydraulic steering dsnt help! And reversing is like hell with no parking sensors! Bt loved d looks! Surely the best looking cross over! Shud have given more options in d petrol variants maybe a TSI like in d polo! Wud have been more fun! Loved d three instrument clusters in d middle! Best part of the interior! ;)

Kids buy Tincans of Maruti and Hyundai,only legends buy Fiat. Proud owner of a Punto evo

Believe me if I say this. I never had done this earlier for any video. Means never left any review. But the video is awesome. Its made lime a movie. PowerDrift again one spectacular review and yes punto didn't quite get the hang of "CROSSOVER" in terms of power but surely would be a joy to have a variant with turbo and producing more or less 100 horses and moreover i just hope they don't screw up ABARTH like this c'mon fiat Cheers to power drift..!! u guys are amazing

Guys, if for second hand today, how much should I pay for this exact 2014 petrol dynamic model (MH14-2995) that you guys drove? Would 2.7 lakh be too low - considering Fiat's hit and miss service and this model's dismal performance in 2014 itself?

I wish FIAT launches the Legendary TJeT in petrol version nd tat gonna be one heck of a car.. despite ur effort to highlight only negatives about the FIAT, there is no word mentioned about build quality, HPS and amazing ride quality.. nevertheless FIAT will always remain a driver's hatch. So it didn't just happen to me alone. I almost broke that huge plastic handle when I tried to open the boot. Honestly, FIAT needs a new management team. Every new car that comes out of their factory is always far behind their competition in their respective segments. Fiat fans can drive their old padminis and ditch their dreams of a new awesome car. Avventura can load up 50 kgs of cargo on top. Very high ground clearance and no car like this for this price ... Diesels are powerful.. Tjet will come in abarth version

It's fun to point at imperfections. But that's what makes this car so Italian.

At the first place you shouldnt have tried the Petrol variant at all.Everybody knows how it perfroms on the punto.Diesel is the preferred choice till now from the ppl who have bought one.Fiat is contemplating to release the TJet varaint based on customer feedback. first ever thumbs down :( i know the meaning of words like unbiased and bitter truth but this review just felt like a tit for tat reply to fiat from u by humiliating their product like as if the presentation was from the sales person of some other brand to prove their product better, this car is built solid, rides well, handles good, looks unique, has character, ample ground clearance and the beauty is in abundance, the only weak link was engine that shouldn't have earned this much humiliation and immature criticism for the car, I'm sorry.

I hope the buyers of this car don't end up going "Skyways"... :P
