I have fixed mine twice now, the black plastic scuttle doesn't like silicone so a butyl tape or mastic (roofing product) is maybe the best. but need checking every year and add extra drain pipes.
Another hidden point of entry of water is the flowback when the drain INSIDE the air entrance is stuck with debris. A long flexible tool can liberate the leaves and rubish from that drain. Also a long bottle cleaner. You can see the air intake in the botton right of the video in 0:59
How do you remove the bonnet and windscreen wipers, I have the same problem. But it is hard to get access without removing these two things. Any help and advice would be really great, thank you in advance. Jamie.
Jamie W, There are two screws on each side of the bonnet, but before removing I used a pen to mark where / how it was lined up. Best to have an helper while lifting off the bonnet. Wipers are one nut under the black cover. After removing nut. Bend the arm toward window and back. Normally easy too remove. Good luck.
Hello Thank you for this movie 😉 What kind of butyl did you use? I consider: -SikaLastomer®-710 Or - SIKA sikaflex 11FC - which I have But a little afraid if it will be possibile to dismantle it if necessary when I use the second one product.
Hei og takk for en informativ og bra video. Lurer imidlertid på hvor du fikk tak i de røde clipsene som holder plastpanelene nede? Forhandleren her vil ha over 1000,- for 10 clips. Har du tips til rimeligere og gode alternativer? Takknemlig for svar!!!
Hei... Jeg var heldig da det var varmt i været, da ryker somregel ikke klipsa. Men jeg ville ha kontaktet bilglass verksted. De har mye forskjellige klips. Sannsynligvis mye billigere. Lykke til.
So sorry it´s been taking a while.... I have checked for leakage, and it seems to be ok. But I have not recorded on video. Will try to do so when the spring comes. Too cold now. Thanks for your feedback.
