David you just saved my bacon mid 1000 mile drive at 23.30 on the side of the autobahn. Didn’t want to drive on if it was something serious (I change oil regularly), just in case. It reset and it worked and now I can finish the journey without fear of trashing my livelihood. Thank you!!!

Thanks. Appears to have just worked on my 2015 2.3 130hp……..I had never had the oil change warning light in almost 8 years (28k miles) and had changed the oil 4 times. It came on recently so changed the oil again and had hoped it would just go off……hence ending up here! Thanks again.

Thanks Mike I appreciate the feedback. This procedure is a bit hit and miss and sometimes people will need a variety of videos to get to the common goal so this video may not work for some which I suppose is where the negativity comes from. Glad it worked, Dave

I followed these steps twice Iver but it doesn't seem to have done the trick . Have I missed something else? Throttle held down. Pump brake 7 times. Release throttle. Turn off ignition for 60 seconds or more. In restart should be gone...
@@davidseamons1230 I assume you mean something like MultiEcuScan? Seems strange that there is a procedure to reset the oil light/message/oil counter but not the service interval. Used to be a reset procedure for the older X250 Ducatos.
@@davidseamons1230 We have an up to date Texa system, and that won't reset either, your procedure had an extra step, which worked for resetting the oil change mileage, but we still have the service mileage to reset. No idea why they have two reminders though!
To answer my own question Yes It Does. It can therefore be used to reset the 'Mileage to change counter' after an oil change. In the case of my 2017 Ducato 2.3 150 bhp it reset to approx 29,900 miles.
@@raycripps6703 David says that you need an OBD plug-in, (perhaps Multiecuscan) to reset the service interval. Did your reset only change the oil mileage counter and not the service interval?

No it never reset the service interval counter only the oil change one. i reset the service interval counter with an icarsoft FA V2.0 diagnostic tool. Funnily enough this was with a command for resetting the oil change counter, it actually reset the service interval. This may be because the tool was designed up to euro 5 models so functionality is not fully compatible with euro 6 models
