Fiat punto Gt vs Punto Abarth  

Punto GT all day long!

Punto Gt, Saxo VTS, AX GT, Any Pug GTi etc etc were the things dreams were made of for me at 17 but way beyond reach so we had to make out 1.1's look like the real deal 😂. Fast forward to the 30's and now we can afford to buy (and insure) the modern day equivalents. Nice video lads, subscribed!

That gt sounded strong even 2 up. Think it would have the younger punto to 60 despite the power deficit. The mk1 punto chassis were made of cheese and the brakes always were crap so can see why Ant chose the newer car.....

Id love an abarth punto if they werent so damn expensive

That Punto GT is sweet. Sadly my GF only has a Punto Evo MyLife which is pretty gutless although it does handle surprisingly well even on stock suspension.

The 'want' level for the Abarth is about 3/10. The want level for the Punto GT is 4/10. The want level for an OG BMW M2 is 9/10. Glad I have one.

Punto MK1 GT all day every day

There were quite a few more than 50 Abarth Punto Evo Supersports. I think they made 199 for the UK market if I remember correctly.

I've had 2 PGT's one 160bhp and the other 188bhp both were awesome cars around towns and B road blasting but motorway driving were horrible after about 100 miles..Currently I have a Punto Evo Sporting 135bhp with the full leather and cruise control etc and driving the 350 round trip to Gatwick and back is lovely to be honest, So I'll go for the APE👍

the mk1 PGT rulez was very easy to tune them over 200hps i had for ~16 years my was modded to 1.6, than later to 1.9 litre the 1.9 was veeeery torqie from deep like a diesel and revved to ~7k my PGT was a "GT3" from late 1998 with smoked grey headlights, antracite wheels, +full black "GT3" sytle leather interior, +air conditioning the aircon was an option in LHD cars the front brakes on these was a weakpoint, it had 257mm only later the 100hp mk2 1.9 diesel had 284mm

The punto gt just needs the fiat 500 abarth engine in it then its brilliant it's still brilliant as is but just needs that engine upgrade.The gt3 seats are the one

I am quite sad today because I have just sold my last mk2 Uno Turbo and the buyer is on his way to collect it as I am watching this. Time for something newer, maybe this Punto Abarth could be a great replacement, although the fiat 500 Abarth is first choice.

Love this, original GT for me as i always wanted one but have never had one, maybe one day if i am in a position to and can find one lol. thats a beautiful example especially with those rare seats and original head unit. 👍😀

188 for me. Build quality just got good, Sporting with that 6sp and suspension that didn't need changing or the HGT the ultimate Q car

I’m so torn between the two . Corsa , Grande Punto and Alfa Mito all share same platform so Corsa should be around the same size I think. You should try and get a MK2 Punto S1600 , factory supplied rally car that you could buy through the fiat dealers
