90% of all faults on the Fiat stilo are in the motor control box, it sits on many models on top of the engine and gets very hot, it makes the two big plug connection become very bad, the small legs in the plug get loose in the soldering and disappear into the board, it can cause many strange errors.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J_oA3mcWqHo.html Dafydd Kremer Acum 4 ani Hi all, for the ones who still have this issue! i've had the same problem... fixed it by opening up the ECU and checked all the pins in there where the 'scart goes on to' (sorry for the bad english) seems to be that putting the ECU right on the engine makes the PCB warm and melts some of the Solder points on the pins which makes them drop a little bit and make them giving a bad connection on the scart cable... you can resolder them and pull them out a little bit making sure every pin has the same height again... this should fix all the issues the fiat stilo has... clear the ECU error codes with an OBD cause it stores the errors on it. this fixed my issues..oh and one other thing, i re-moved the ECU right next to the battery under the battery cover so this wont happen again. hope this will help at least some people... cause it's a nice car!
