​​​@@cediemina4528 Yes China in men's basketball or Fiba Asian Cup is no longer dominant as they once were 16x Asian Cup titles and 8x Asian games gold medals is no easy feat for any Asian team to achieve. Australia is able to dominate due to this fact. A strong China national team, you won't see Australia, Philippines or even, Iran winning any title in the FIBA Asia Cup. The Philippines are somewhat decent using foreigners is what makes them able to compete, use full Philippine players the Philippines national team wouldn't even make it far in the Asian cup tournaments. Besides Australia has been competing in the Asian zone since 2006 for almost 20 years now. Especially in Football Soccer yet they still get dominated and beaten by East asian Countries. People tend to overrate Australia since they are more European so people assume that makes them better athletes than Asians is not factual.

Or, maybe it's because, when China entered FIBA Asia (or ABC), it was also the same time the Philippine professional league PBA started and all the best talent available were not anymore allowed as only amateur players were eligible to compete in FIBA. Philippines started to send college players against not just China, but all of veteran Asian teams. 15 years after, professional players were allowed, but China has already established their mastery of the sports, that even PBA players weren't able to match at that time. @@themuzikzero The Philippines declined from winning the FIBA Asia Cup in 1970s since then they have struggled since the tournaments have become more competitive. So now they rely on foreign born athletes to help them win gold medals.

Philippines never won any medal on Olympics.
