I adore the old time Radio programs. we gave up television in the house and now at night, after dinner, we get comfortable, get in bed and listen to the great old radio programs. Fibber & Molly, The Shadow, Gunsmoke, Johnny Dollar, Jack Benny and on and on. It's great.
Johnny dollar was my go to for a long time!! Expense account for the night of the 5th: dinner with sweet Lorraine luscious $9 taxi home or should I say her place 75¢, bottle of wine $4, & well you know...
Don Quinn, the writer, was a pure genius....wrote so many of these shows at the last minute. He went into a room alone with lots of coffee and trays of sandwiches. Didn't come out until he had show written.
Sometimes you just wonder what happens in these shows ... Fibber was talking to tiny and said "oof" instead of "off" ! He must have either mis read hIs line or said it on purpose but The audience Just busted out!
