I don't even bother carrying any drop under 80m, It's a lot of waste but i just can't be asked carrying 7 different drops :) It's funny how rural installation quality is sometimes worse than city... when i'm working rural i usually spend way more time on the job so naturally i inspect everything and find every little thing wrong. Compared to the rush of city work.
@@FyBurz A lot of my drops are around the 50m mark but i just cant be asked carrying a bunch of 50s because then the next week ill be doing 80s and the 50s will just take space in my truck.
It’s just not the fall arrest method that I use. I find it really slow and cumbersome the time it takes to get all set up and wrapped around. I’m already off the ladder and on the next pole.
I don't see how you lean out and use both hands without stapping your lanyard to the ladder and stand. But I would love to be as good and fast as you are. Thanks for the videos.@@FyBurz
@@robbydockery1272 😅 like this 🤷🏻♂️ Keep safety present In your mind. But also take confidence in your ability 👍🏼 Also 12 years of ladder experience helps 😂
Always nice work and the last job is always a pain in the azz, I don't understand the other people doing the drops do they not have the same training and believe me I know there alot of bad installer and do your jobs get inspected after your done?
I’m self trained 😅 so apparently not lol. Yeah all my jobs are virtually audited and can be audited in person as well. But I have 100% pass rate so they don’t usually come to my area to check. And when they do they struggle to find any discrepancies.
@@FyBurz one of the reasons I left the industry the companies just piled on the work they wanted you to do new installs, service calls, and disconnect while driving and parking in nyc all in an 8 hour work day 😁
Ah nvm I just saw someone else's comment. I know I probably sound like a paranoid pussy. Did they not make you get a working at heights certificate? When I was still on the Telco side they forced us to. Up until a few years ago we only had to use a positioning strap (no fall arrest)
