It’s really called a FlyBridge or upper Helm.just to mention it! I’m wondering about how your Boat is today years after this video? 🤔 God Bless ❤️😏🇺🇸🖖🏼

So I have only had it this year and was trying to have one of my kids take apart the other engine down to the block for the overhaul... life got the best of me and it is now covered for the winter... one engine is down to the block and oil pan still on the other we just took the intake manifold off of it... all but 2 lights work inside when 12vdc applied and I found a few other things that are going to need attention but engines first so maybe next year after this kid graduates I'll really tear into it without waiting on them anymore

The “rear deck “ is actually the Cockpit. Inside is the Salon, below is the V Birth, kitchen is a Galley, bathroom is a Head, come on man! 🤣❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸

this summer has been a real learning experience for me as i have been out on not only my sailboat that i got while on deployment finally but working on this as well.... i have learned so much in the way of terminology and what is what that other than the salon those terms all make sense to me now.... i recenly posted a video of nothing but pictures but due to $$$ this project really slowed down... the port engine is down to just the block and oil pan till i get a hoist to lift them out and the STBD engine has been slow because 1 no rush till i get a few more monies and 2 i am making it a project/bonding experience with my daughter letting her take it all apart so that we can do a side by side rebuild.

@@everettevans11 I appreciate your time and God Bless you for your Service! It’s a learning curve that’s true. It’s a really good project but I think you are seeing the main problem with restoring. It’s the investment verse the return. You will spend lots more time and money than you will be able to sell it for. You have a good base. It’s hard to decide if you want to re build or simply re power. I think you have a huge challenge with this specific vessel. You are going to be working on this for 20 years if you don’t focus your efforts directly to it. Something to think about. If I’m doing this restoration I would install new Diesel Engines and out drive. I know it’s expensive but it’s the only way you will get a value for your investment. Otherwise you will have a boat that costs way more than you can sell it. You should expect to spend more than you will get back or just keep it and pass it down through your Family. It’s a really big project to do slowly and after you’ve finished the stuff you did first will need revisions because of how long it took. I think you should re evaluate the cost rewards equation before you move farther. It’s important to know where you are in the process so you can see if it’s worth continuing. The longer it takes to decide if it’s feasible the deeper it gets in the wallet. I don’t mean to discourage you I only want you to prepare yourself for all eventualities. This kind of project needs a start finish and schedule. Funds are difficult. It’s why you don’t want to restore for your first step in Boating. It’s almost impossible to get out there. Having a sailboat ⛵️ is wonderful! You will learn true Seamanship when sailing. It requires Seamanship. You must think of all eventualities. You have to know how to navigate, you have to know weather, you have to know charts, current and tides, there’s so much you learn along the way sailing over powering. I recommend you get as much time possible on your sailboat. Save money until you have enough to repower your Fiberform and do it completely start to finish. It’s a good thing to try to bond with your Daughter but you guys will definitely be discouraged by how hard it will be to restore your boat even if it looks easy it’s really tougher than it seems. You have to learn proper techniques it’s not the same as working on your house or car it’s necessary to do it to marine grade including the things you install. I hope you have success and I hope you and your Daughter learn a lot! I recommend you start a different project together that’s less complex and difficult to begin with to learn how to work together first. Then you should move on to the complex challenges coming with your Fiberform . God Bless you and your Family! ❤️😏🖖🏼🇺🇸

time and money while yes are currently lacking this is a project of love something that I am going to be okay working on 20 years from now... I'm not looking to flip it and yes I know that its going to take a TON of money to do it and time and I'm okay with that... I do thank you for your comments and hope that you will follow to see where I do go with this rebuild... honestly I got the boat for free but we all know that no boat is truly FREE lol
