Here is episode 3 in the 1977 Corvette restore series. Here we show you the process of patching a hole with fiberglass matting. PLEASE NOTE: Paul doesn't measure the hardener because he is pretty good at eyeballing it. If you are not familiar with this process, please measure your hardener out. For us it was 18 drops of hardener per 1oz of resin. Also you will see a Vegas logo pop up every once in a while throughout the video. I was using the trial version of the software and have since gone back to adobe premiere for my editing. Apologies for the annoyance. 3: 12 im that guy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love the fiberglass ,,been at it for 50 years . i make A c cobra s ,daytona s ,G T 40 and also c3 corvette fiberglass bumpers !!!!!! be cause the polyurethane are junk and are falling apart from the u v rays from the sun over the past 40 years . working with fiberglass and carbon fiber is HEAVEN

The paint on my C3 is pretty much the same as yours was. I want to do all that bodywork, prep and painting myself, but I don't have an indoor space for it. Bummed about that. But watching you work is fun. I could watch people work all day.

Rumor has it they are just about done sanding. Almost as thin as sheetmetal now.

Glad to see the whole process! It's really irritating when you watch a build series on a car, then out of no where the car is almost done, and they don't film jt

I know right? I had some client work I needed to get done and then I built a new pc so that has caused a delay in getting the painting episode done. Stay tuned! I am working on it currently and should have it posted in a week!

Again I am surprised at how simple it really is. Ive had people constantly tell me how complicated it will be and I am starting to think these people haven't actually done it themselves. Although tomorrow we are priming the car so I may eat my words lol Thank you again for the support bluesxt! You're awesome :)
