In this video I will be making a mold from a plug, I'll show You how I made my plug from a wooden hull RC boat that I made years back.. It'll be the 1st part of a 3 or 4 part series.

Got me thinking, an extra hull lower section that fitted over an SR80 hull would be an interesting idea.

Nice result mate. Would be cool to see one for the topside too, and how you did the frame around it etc? Have thought about making a mold before myself but never tried it properly.

What kind of wax did you use before the gelcoat?

They have a specific mold release wax, but I used several coats of turtle wax (car wax) wax on, then buff off.. Regular wax takes more coats and buffing..

Yep, I'm about to make a mold from a small plastic boat. It should be much easier with plastic
