I really enjoy your videos, they are very educational. I would highly recommend you demand shop safety of yourself and anyone in the shop when the work is being performed. If your students who are wearing their PPE while going through your class see you not wearing eye protection or ear plugs or a mask when sanding and painting then they won’t either when they are out of your class and working in the field. Set that example for them and tell them why it’s important. You might be saving their life down the road because they will view safety as just as important as the work. I got a small piece of metal in my eye once while working on a jet. It was extremely painful and I’m blessed that I didn’t lose my eye and career all because I wasn’t wearing any PPE. It took a doctor to remove the metal imbedded in my eyeball.
