Oscar reading Dua Lipa fanfiction on SNL was never something I thought I’d see oh my god 😂

I was rlly hoping Dua was going to make a surprise cameo and his story turns out to just be a true retelling lol

My heart goes out to the writer who came up with "Michael B. Jackson" and had to endure the unwarranted lack of laughter

The voice he did for this sketch was absolutely incredible.

"I manage her subreddit". I was so insanely thrown off by that line.

Oscar's a solid gold actor everywhere he damn well goes.

Every accent Oscar did was different. If he wasn’t already an actor, he’d be an incredible voice actor.

This is up there with Adam Driver’s Career Day sketch as one of the best host-embodies-character sketches SNL has done

I have ONE problem with this sketch: It's so good that last night, when my parents were watching Dune, I just couldn't stop laughing and smiling like an idiot, because when I looked at Leto, the only thing I could hear was "Sure thing girlie, what's up?"

They got Aidy to play a teacher in the same episode as her dream of not playing one.

As a fic writer and reader, I appreciate that the men were engrossed in the fic. Not something I see discussed much in the comments. I hope Mike gets a lot of kudos and appreciative comments on his fic and later books on AO3

Oscar Isaac pulled out every Method trick for this gig. Accents, wigs, weird costumes, songs, glasses, powdered wigs. There’s commitment then there’s “Call me my character’s name off camera” committed. I haven’t since this kind of dedication since Adam Driver’s or Daniel Craig’s hosting. A tour de force.

Im dying at the look on his face after he says "and nothing more right?" You can tell that the girl who says " are you asking us?" had to say her line through her laughter

This feels like poetry workshops I have been to. Except nobody interrupts or tries to ground anyone.

this was fantastic - Oscar was so good. Dude seems to actually know his lines and doesn't break - he is made for this! Bring him back again to host!

Every time I get to the part where Oscar Isaac fake-laughs as Dua Lipa, I completely lose it 🤣.

I typically find SNL mildly amusing, but this sketch had me in tears and laughing out loud. I love Melissa trying not to crack at 1:36 because she knows what's coming.

This is the type of sketch I always want to see more of on the show...low-key, with a slow build, a good payoff, strong performances, not just flinging stuff against the wall for a laugh. One of the writers also wrote the Longhorn Steakhouse sketch from a few months ago that I enjoyed for similar reasons. Oscar Isaac did such a wonderful job here - his best sketch of the night and one of the best of the season.

Someone should tell Mike about archive of our own, I'm sure he'll love it
