Ficus Benjamina Bonsai - Penjing Style 

It got neglected in the back of the grow tent for awhile and fell into disrepair.

Nice! I think these are one of the best to work with. There's a lot of love/hate for them in the bonsai world, but I think they're super versitle.

Thank you! I have a bunch of the top little leafs that I was thinking about doing too. Maybe I'll wait and see how you do yours so I can learn how to do these easier, lol. For the soil, it's just perlite, safety absorb, pine bark, and occasionally some volcanic rock when I can find it cheap enough.

@@BonsaiBoise I had a few of the Benjamina Natashas or Natashja as they are called here.. I think they are called "too little" in the states and Canada... Mine have given me nothing but trouble Mike here in the UK.. I'm now wondering if it is due to the soil as you say maybe I need to try adding perlite and some die gravel... For the most part the drop leaves for no reason.. one minute they are looking lush, next they start turning yellow and then you get branches with no leaves at all.. I tried wiring a couple and they did not like that at all. The rest I'm just struggling to keep alive tbh 😂

Does yours shoot like 10 branches from the same spot! Mine does. It seems to have no concept of bonsai rules. Lol

@@BonsaiBoise 🤣😂🤣.... I wish!!!... at the moment they dont shoot anything lol... I get the odd leaf at the apex now and then but they appear to shed more then they grow.. I have them indoors, only now while the weather is warm do I take them outside but even then its only during the day. I bring them back in the house around 7pm when the temps start to get lower.
