As an Englishman I love this song lol, I spent many years travelling to Ireland and I love the people and country of Ireland. Good bless you all. When I was young my dad had two rosette’s above his mirror in the dinning room, and those rosettes were one of English and the other was a Scottish rosette. But we discovered after my father had died that his mother kept the truth from her children due to the times being anti Irish in London that she pretended to be Scottish. How sad that must of been. My Dad was not half Scottish in fact he was half Irish. Anyway as an Englishman I am very very much proud to say I actually do have Irish in my family as my dad was in fact half Irish, sadly he was not ever to know the truth. Every time I went to Ireland from the eighties I always stood up in the pubs when the Irish anthem was played. I loved the way your country invited me so amazingly and thank you for your love towards us even though what we’ve put you through over the years. I know some Irish people hate the English but we English are not all the same. Love you all so much and god bless you all. It’s funny because I was listening to an Irish song the other day and it wasn’t nice to the English but actually I got addict to the song lol. Anyway god bless the wonderful world of Ireland, a place I always loved to visit.
