I only recently managed to get the FX and have had so much fun with it. I now really want to get another as well as a Korg SQ-1 for even more variations.
Rhoooo, so Coool! A real innovation in terms of control and FX creation. I work recently on electronics and DIY projects (I started ^^), pre-amp oscilateur sequencer etc. thanks to the community of open source, but now your module makes me want to let go of a part of my projects and integrate this little baby directly into my modular system. Really interesting your Field Kit Fx!
Wish u explain this in a more tutorial way. Daughter wants one and I'm having issues understanding how this works compared to other automatic modulators.
As a stretch goal, would it be possible to offer an optional front panel where it is predominantly black instead of white? Or at least an overlay that would do the same thing? Thx.
stupid question - the spring reverb is external? If I didn't have my own spring reverb tank and didn't want to- ahem- "spring" for one (sorry), could I put the out and input from this section into something like a kaoss pad or something?
You need a tank to make the reverb section working, its a spring reverb, without tank its nothing. We have a great one in our expansion pack and sell them separately too in our shop.
Noob here. How do you send line level to the field kit fx? I don't own any eurorack modules and not planning to get any, so how can I use it with my other synths and drum machines?
Nothing to take into account really. The Field Kit FX can deal with all types of input signals, including line level. The DSP (Looper and Pitch Shifter) have a digital input gain adjustment and the other effects have a gain knob, so you can accommodate for lower level signals.
great box but what does the cv interface do exactly? Can't see any outputs? Is it hardwired to certain parameters? And can you clock the sequencer somehow?
You can route 4 cv signals to all the parameters under the black bar that runs across the unit. There are pushbuttons above all the controls and by pushing them the lights next to the pushbuttons change color. Pick the corresponding color to the one next to your cv input and that cv input is controlling the feature of the field kit fx.
regarding the clock of the sequencer, works similarly. You can route a cv signal via the cv interface to the roll-o-decks. With treshold you can set the peak that triggers the sequencer. when no cv signal is applied, the threshold is speed for the sequencer.
Would the spring reverb in and out work with the moog grandmother reverb ? I think this may be a perfect accompaniment for the GM , and even the korg minilogue xd as it has cv in and out .
It's a completely new device. They both have a mixer, but thats it. FX has effects, original Field Kit has a ton of tricks for electro acoustic performance!
If you want to use control voltage (CV) to control parameters on the Field Kit FX you can either use the onboard Roll-O-Decks as an LFO, Envelope or 4-step sequencer OR you can use any external CV source of your liking.
