The smile on Terence's face after he says "Dog and a beer" is so heartwarming. It shows you that, despite his jaded facade, he still has a warm side deep down.

DOG AND A BEER!! As only James Earl Jones could say.

My granduncle is in the “What do you want?” scene on the very left. 0:48 Today there is a plaque of his name written on it at that place we’re he worked at. It says that he was in Field of Dreams

He had a speaking line too "7 Bucks". Whoa, $7 for two hot dogs and two beers at Fenway? I bet it would be $30 or more today.

Is he still alive? That’s cool though, awesome to hear. Your grand uncle was a part of a timeless masterpiece classic of a movie!

"No...what do you WANT!"...wonderful commentary on the self-imposed complexities of modern life when a "dog and a beer" is usually enough. So great.

If you've never been to Fenway Park but get the chance to go, take it. It's the American equivalent of the Roman Coliseum or the Cathedral are Chartres.

I love this scene. Not only do I love the way he went through that whole speech because he misunderstood the question "What do you want?", but I also get a kick out of the fact that 2 hotdogs and 2 beers is only 7 bucks. Now it would be about $20 or more.
@patricky823

Well, sure it was $7 bucks back then. But my earning power today compared to then is... is... dang it. Never mind.

If you REALLY want to get gouged at a ball game, order a cocktail from one of the branded bars...you're talking like 14 bucks for one lousy drink.

It's called inflation.. A person's salary today is a lot more than thirty years ago I'm sure you would also get a kick that a $25,000 salary was good money back then

10 years earlier in 1978 while returning from his honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Costner had a chance encounter with actor Richard Burton. Costner asked Burton if acting was worth it Burton probably said "......what do you want?"

What is interesting is the concession guys were actual Fenway employees, but they worked the stand on the third base side, not the first base side.

The way Ray said “So, what do you want?” did sound like he was saying it on a deeper level, not just asking “what do you want to eat?”

Ray was ABSOLUTELY asking what Mr. Mann wanted in a broad sense, and got a direct answer... which he couldn't reply to, so turned our attention to hot dogs. Dog and a beer. Two. *SEVEN BUCKS*
