@Matthew Hayslett it's fixable. You can look at excalibur coil repair maybe. I did it with mine. You need to put resin on it in the end to make it fixed and waterproof again
great review,, first time I watch this vid, I checked out the infinium on youtube. I have never heard of it before, looks like a nice piece of equipment. You said it was heavy,,Garrett says you can mount the box, below handle, on top, but recommend carrying it on your belt...who knew?? Looking forward to part 2...Syd
Hi Syd, Belt mount interferes with the unit so it has to be on the shaft...I bought the Anderson carbon fiber shaft with the high mount...Should help with the weight...
I have looked into those but have not decided on those or the dual field. It takes me a while to decide, bit still thinking dual field, maybe. Lol thx Chris, keep em coming my friend. ☆☆☆☆☆
You can't go wrong with the dual field...great detector...The thing about the Garrett Infinium is they don't make them anymore and they are getting harder to find.
Hi, in your opinion which is better for little rings at 2 meters of salt water: Minelab Excalibur, Minelab Equinox, Garrett Infinium, Garrett Sea Hunter MKII, Fisher CZ21 ? I used in the past Excalibur and Equinox and I found a lot but Now I would like to find little items
not enough sell ( and might stole the sell of the garret atx) , and i think garret arent good at marketing their product , the still producing the sea hunter markII... their money maker is the yellow canary garret =). btw if you wanna try something cool and cheap you should check for vallon vmh3cs =)
Yeah, it goes deep alright, sometimes too deep. Without discrimination, I'm digging a lot of deep pull tabs and bottle caps but hoping that with experience, I'll eventually know the difference in tones between a good find and junk!
Heck, maybe one of each LOL I wonder if Garrett can still do repairs on these? I am going to be in Dallas TX thus week vomkng and I plan to stop by their facility to ask.
Never thought I would see you put down the dualfield. Do you want an Anderson shaft for the infiniuim? My wife is selling one, let me know and I will give you a call.Steve
I know...Never thought that would happen either! But I'm guilty of looking for more depth! Both are American made and good detectors. I already ordered the Anderson shaft 3 days ago...But thanks Steve.
Ok Chris no worries. The wife will never use her sea hunter2 again now she has her equinox, and I'm the same with the dualfield, someone is going to get a bargin
Good & bad targets such as Non-Ferrous...(Gold & Silver & pull tabs) will give you a high/low signal tone. All Ferrous targets such as Scrap metal, Iron, nails will give a Low/high signal tone. So it gives us the ability to discriminate certain targets...However our $2.00 coin reads as a low/High...I'll dig those only on dry sand.
@@MrAristhan OK they repackaged it in a water resistant housing. Do you have any functional comparisons between the two? The ATX can use the Infinium coils.
