I always tell the same story about the Nephilim. I went to see them in the late eighties... at least, I think I went to see them. There was so much dry ice I couldn't be sure if it was them or not.

It seems like a time travel to me, Even after 30 years. Carl's voice is like that of an ancient priest, who possesses ancient knowledge. TIMELESS!

I love how you can hear one of their songs a million + times and focus on something different each time. How good the drums are or how the one guitar just sings, not just how amazing the lyrics are or Carl's mesmerising voice. This band was perfection.

So this sounds strange but once I had a dream and Carl Mcoy showed up with two Grey wolf's beside him. All 3 were standing above me looking down. I was a little scared but he smiled and said to me. YOU NEED TO BE LIKE A WOLF. Then I woke up. I haven't had that dream since but it will always stick with me.

in 2007 i came across this band by freak accident my christian friend gave the single of sumerland he told he was going to through it out and i came round and he asked me if i would like it instead and said yes ok as i never heard of the fields of the nephilim i wasnt sure what to expect. i remeber there were 3 tracks on it sumerland, watchman and phobia. soon as the first song started playing i was like wow the guitar in this is fantastic i as was a big fan the sisters of mercy i found it hard to listen to anything else but fields of the nephilim changed that as i wasnt a big fan of the new age goth shit. since i played sumerland first time i was taken to it brought albums others. so I brought the album nephilim, revelations,elizium. i dont listen to them a lot these days as my taste in music has changed but now and again will venture back to my teenage years and listen to sumerland and moonchild and watchman, psychonaut, exist for the lost and for light mourning sun. zoon she

I got into the Nephs a few months ago, and am now realising what a great BAND they were in their classic era. After McCoy fired his original band, Fields of the Nephilim wasn't even half as good.
