It knows the strength of the Kestrel....therefore has been attacking the claws. Very smart

Jackdaws are whip-smart birds, quick thinkers and being Corvid they are in the most intelligent bird family. In a fight you would want to subdue the danger points of your attacker as efficiently as possible. This Jackdaw is doing exactly that. Good Observation, props!

@@Nakamichi_Jun Yes, very similar to grabbing a poisonous snake just behind its head. My uncle once watched an American Kestrel (much smaller) battle with a Mourning Dove for over 30 minutes.

The Kestrel has killer talons, but the Jackdaw is smarter.

Shoot the jackdaw still got in but he got his butt whooped and had to flee.

Daryl Kemp Corvids are incredibly smart birds. They are definitely not cowards. It’s called team work. This is how they operate. They don’t have huge talons like bop so they use safety in numbers to drive away other birds to protect their nests and chicks and also to scavenge and take food from another birds kill.

Believe it or not that may very well been the kestrels home just a couple of hours before, Jackdaws can fill up a nest woth sticks like that, very fast, ive seen it happen on a livestream to a Tawny Owl nest

Not a chance, Covid family have solid legs unlike Raptors and bigger harder breaks. Only seabirds are more equipped for fighting

It was actually the kestrels nest read the description, this probably explains why the male kestrel wanted to mate with the female kestrel.

The problem isn't that I need meds, but rather that sooner or later, I'm going to get into a condition where I *will* need meds, should I have to read more of such incomplete, ambiguous and completely unclear sentences. Here it's still rather easy to understand what actually was meant, but people who are so awfully lazy with formulating their sentences tend to be even more lazy when it comes to explaining really complicated processes or circumstances. Then it becomes a real pain to try to read and understand, so it bugs me off, when I come across too much of that kind of stuff on a single day. @nickys34 They make nests inside the box. And, it's an instnict that parents have. They won't lose that. The nest box is to help protect from predators and it's a nice way to see more of your native birds.

If you raise them from chicks they can talk like parrots and starlings

@@theo98980 На видео в гнезде - галка. Птица, один из наиболее мелких представителей семейства врановых. Там не совсем понятно , кто именно из семейства соколиных, пытается напасть. Ведь питаются они крупными насекомыми, полевыми мышами, мелкими певчими птицами. Соколиным не по зубам такая крупная птичка, а вот ястребиным же наоборот. Видимо тут борьба за дом, сокол пытается отжать у галки дом. Ведь соколиные очень любят занимать гнёзда других птиц. Или наоборот))) галка отжала дом у пустельги )))

Написно что это Пустельга пыталась вернуть свою хату, короче галка отжала ее дом.
