Lol! My heart when you set that heavy yellow bowl on the Fenton!! I have to tell you I went to the antique mall yesterday and I was able to point out and name a whole bunch of things! Everything from Fenton to Viking to Murano!! My daughter was impressed. I told her it’s all my free RU-vid learning. A whole bunch of crazy lamp lady with some Yvone and niche lady and a couple others thrown in here and there

I used to get so excited when I'd get a Lillian Vernon catalog in the mail. It's filled with a little bit of everything. Kitchen gadgets, linens, gifts, oddities, electronics, etc.

There's an online catalog, but that takes away from folding the pages of the things you want. It's just not the same. I did the same with the Sears catalog when I was a kid. 😊

You got some great items today! Look for ornaments that have a wire star instead of a wire loop for hanging. They are from Germany. Also look for the red dishes with the green trees. They are Waechtersbach and are no longer made.

The clue plates was the start of a plate flower. Missing was a back to place on a copper rod to stick in the ground. I use old salt or pepper shakers clued on the back for a wood or copper rod.

Just looked it up 1951 because I was pretty sure I remembered catalogs from 70’s. Graduating from high school in 1981 has turned out to be quite easy to make approximating dates of stuff.

The plates glued together look like the garden flowers that people make. You drill a hole through each plate & then attach it with a screw to a piece of metal and then use the metal like a stake in the ground. They look pretty cute when you want to add color to a garden. Kind of like when people make mushrooms out of glass bowls (facing down) and they are glued to glass vases.

At the Goodwill in my area once in my area you can find some great treasures. I already have too many treasures, so I only buy the really exciting pieces. I enjoy searching the isles.

I didn’t notice the missing wing on the angel either Jocelyn!!! She was so cute that’s all I saw. Lillian Vernon was a company that monogrammed all sorts of items. They used to send out catalogs throughout the country and they were very popular. Their factory was here in Virginia Beach, however they closed maybe 15 or so years ago and just went out of business.

Lillian Vernon was a catalog company that used to sell things like Collections, etc. does now. Think they went out of business a few years back. That Christmas tree was nice, you can put lights in those holes.

That angel, That is what a Dremel is for! LOL. Take the other wing off sand it and give it to Juliette. The flight challenged angel will have a good home. I loved the Lillian Vernon catalogs too and Miles Kimball. Getting them on line is not the same:(

Lol they don't stage them for her. Sometimes she goes and comes out with 2 things. The area she lives has more vintage things period. It's a very historical area and a lot of people out that way have their house period correct so naturally when they get rid of things they tend to be vintage. I go to PA about 6 times a year and they have the best thrift stores, antique stores and goodwills. Definitely not staged thou!!
