Thank you for putting larger life totals on screen! Makes life for us mobile watchers easier. Also Sardian Avenger does damage when an artifact hits graveyard, not tapped or etb.
Is the video from the overheard out of sync with the video from the head cams? Seems like the board states keep getting reversed when switching cameras.
Also something went wrong in the editing room...and I have a feeling what it is (its called main footage uncoppeled from sound) ...it happens to the best of us...fun game still :)
The above table shots are not cupelled with the audio and can get to be a little confusing because they announce the cards that they are playing in the audio and display it at incorrect timing of the video. The player cams seem to be alright.
"Lewis", last name close enough. And I am proud of him Corey. The next backup plan after Marit Lage is sac all the lands to Titania. Thanks for playing my deck Jon, I hope it wasn't too miserable.
I wish you would pay more attention to highlight cards when they are played. Like when Corey played arcane signet, a card that is very well known, it was highlighted, but the wing splicer afterwards was not shown at all. If you don't know the card, it makes it harder to follow. In the old episodes one or two years ago you did way better with this, but it slipped away lately.
Huge desych between the table view and everything else. Table view is like 5 minutes behind each time it is shown. Jon making Steven misplay his deck in this one. Tells Steven that vise is all players. It is not. Tells everyone that Ensnared by the Mara is mill. It is not. Someone needs to get out the bonk bat.
If anyone is curious about the thespian's stage and Urza saga interaction, Judging FtW has a video explaining the wierdness with helpful "proxy" to show the stage as it changes. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QkDsflKX9l4.html
Is it just me or is the above table shot WAY OFF. LIke somebody says they are cracking a fetch, and nothing happens until it goes to the side cam and shows John searching his library. Jeremy says his Skulker is getting bigger and no dice are being put on it until like a minute later in the video?
It’s kind of hard to tell with the de-sync, but I think Jeremy should have taken like 8 extra damage from the two 5/5 golems that turn he bounces the wing splicer with cyclonic rift. They still have trample from Brenard and it looks like Jeremy only blocked with 2 of his squid tokens
@SCGCommander the guy's name with the scroll decklist is Dylan. I play with him and he is a great person and player. I have play against this deck before, it was funny to see you misplay the cards. I wish a few more of the old unique cards were able to make their way out to play.
when you copy urzz saga with stage you have to wait till the urza saga gains the lore ability of making constructs, so when the copy hits chapter 2, then you change it to something else then the stage stays permentaly with the ability of making constructs. it doesnt happen right away when you copy it.
Always love the fan deck episodes! Also really appreciated the nostalgia feels seeing the OG upkeep 'hand size hate' artifacts. But, i will readily admit that until watching this video, i mistakenly thought that both Black Vise and The Rack had received oracle text updates allowing for them to affect multiple opponents (similarly to the difference in the original/ errata texts on Aura of Silence). Good to know for future deck construction consideration.
Compare Black Vise to Iron Maiden. If you've used them both before, it's easy to remember the difference. For Commander, I'd recommend the Iron Maiden. Plus there's always Viseling.
I assume you have a new editor... who, even if they're doing the job for free... should be fired, because they're terrible at their job, and the video was definitely WELL BEHIND the audio. From the SOUND of things and the decklists themselves, this was an awesome game, however, the juvenile production borne of horrific audio/video sync made this, by far, the absolute worst episode ever to come from Commander Vs.. Ever.
