That is the strangest color combo I've ever seen in a 9-pan eyeshadow palette. Maybe a 12 or 16 pan would be better for exploration into both warm and cool shades. But you gave it a good try, and it looks pretty good! And I love your explanations - you are a natural born teacher! Thanks Shelly!
I used the Fiesta Palette too yesterday and I was impressed, that plum like shade is beautiful and I also used the black smoky shade same as you , I even tried the green color in the middle just a smidgen. I have slightly hooded eyes and of course gravity at 52 yrs old now has taken a toll but yeah I learned about the outward 7's a few years ago! Beautiful Look btw ❤
Pretty eye look Shelly! Not very much fallout, if any! I agree about the tightline situation, once you discover how effective it is, it becomes a staple step! I still use blue mascara every once in awhile as it makes a beautiful contrast against a dark brown “Victoria Beckham” color eye! I’d much rather eat thin mints than wear the flavor on my lips, I feel cheated in some type of way! 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
YSL Lash Clash in Rich Brown is a more dramatic brown mascara, FYI. Your skin looks fantastic; I'm looking forward to that Shiseido review. I've always liked those Buxom lip products--I used to get the OG Buxom Lip Polish at the Sephora on Walnut Street when I lived in Pittsburgh. That must be nearly 20 years ago now 😅
I prefer Brown/Black mascara, looks way better on me than black does. Found on yesstyle that they have a grey and a hazel mascara but I can't remember the brand. I would be interested in trying out those colours but I didn't like the mascara brush used so will have to see if other brands move into this coloured area. Love the eye look Shelly! I think even I might be able to replicate this look ;).
It's so weird, I also have issues with a spot just above my left crease not holding pigment. No matter what I do, no shadow will take and it always looks patchy, so I definitely feel your pain 🖤
Shell you need to check out What's up beauty's other 2 pallets they are beautiful same as the Dragon pallete. I love them all. RIP Mel Thompson she was such an inspiration on you tube. Nisha on Sugar puff and fluff she is the queen of hooded eyes. Shell your eyeshadow looks are so beautiful never not loved one ❤
Ok Shelly, your eyeshadows are always flawless. I can’t believe you came out with such a beautiful eyeshadow look. I’m sold on the Wayne Goss brushes. Do you like his better than BK beauty? Have you gotten Nikki La Rose’s makeup Brush Set? I’m trying to figure out which ones to get for my 62 yr old hooded crinkly eyelids. Help me decide. 😊😅
I haven't tried Nikki's yet. The WG brushes I have are all his natural hair ones and the BK brushes are synthetic, so it's tough to do a direct comparison. I do tend to have better luck with natural hair brushes when it comes to blending mattes but the only ones I will purchase new these days are the Wayne Goss ones as I trust when he says they are cruelty free, and I prefer non-animal-sourced products in general. Really I think finding the best shapes for your eyes ends up being the more important part. Here's a video I did a little bit ago on how I came to my list of holy grail brushes - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dor1rksFZ1o.htmlsi=bAnNYRK_Rz3_6bw5
