Just played PES19 for the first time today. Ended up being thoroughly disappointed. Overall rating 3/10. Pros: better graphics, new pack opening animation, new licenses, better gameplay, new incredible celebrations, and slightly better menus. Cons: even many of the licensed leagues don't have proper scoreboards, loss of Champions League Atletico Madrid and Dortmund licenses and stadiums, even the "largely improved" gamemodes such as Master League and My club feel nearly identical to those last year, not enough stadiums from the new licensed leagues, missing many official soccer balls of the new leagues, many of the managers in the new licensed leagues are fake, a fewof the licensed kits for teams are wrong, summer transfers not yet implemented, many bizzare ratings for players remain in the game, edit mode remains pretty much identical to last year, music is worst this year, names for menus and features are once again very unusual this year, and the Italian and Spanish second league were removed. Overall: I have switched from FIFA to PES a few years ago, but this edition of the series might just make me switch back. I understand that PES cannot compete with FIFA financially, but Konami seem to not even take full advantage of the leagues they do have. If every licensed team had their stadium in the game we would have over licensed 300 stadiums, yet we only have 25. And out of those 25, only 5 let you play we snow turned on. This definitely makes it seem like Konami barely even care about PES this year. PES definitely has potential, but if Konami don't manage to do something huge next year, then this will be the last year I purchase PES. If Konami want to do something huge and start turning the table, the need to steal the La Liga license when it ends for EA Sports in 2019 and make it exclusive to PES, and then get every stadium in that league in the game. Unless they do something similar to this, the PES series will come to an end in a few years.
