Defending was out of control OP in fifa20 with dropback 1 depth counterattack. They have tried to make that a less effective strategy by boosting attacking-options. It's a good thing. People who think they should be able to "just defend perfectly and never concede a goal" is a cancer to the game. For a fun game, attacking has to be slightly OP to defending.

@Mr_Miyagi exactly if I wanna play against AI I can go play SB but I wanna play someone instead. Remove AI, bring back manual defending. I should be rewarded when you make a mistake while defending but nowadays you'll get the ball immediately after loosing it, also get rid of holding circle.

When fifa 20 was released I was so happy cause there was some manual defending and pace did matter, I remember when the game came out if I ran past your defenders and you not faster than me ain't no catching up now, 50 pace be catching up with 99 pace striker

I think they've added nutmegs as an *𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭* animation this year (finally)- but even so, the R1 "agile dribbling" thing is something that's gonna be spammed and broken this year [like how some of you people do dragbacks and the L1 close control]. But in the clip you'll see after Barella exploits the space, the player kinda spams the R1 thing a bit and takes a final touch to nutmeg Ramos as he lunges in; it's fair play. I prefer this to situations in FIFA 20 where you tackle (as in make contact with the ball) and the player you've JUST TACKLED *glitchingly* still ends up with the ball. So I prefer this + a "natural collision system". Only thing to worry about is you sweaty f*ckers spazzing out with the mechanic.
