@@wiktor5510 I used to be a gold 2 gold 3 player but this year it’s so hard 60% of the teams I come up against have ronaldo mbappe or ridiculously good icons and defending doesn’t even exist so I played last weekend and got silver 2 and was 1 win away from silver 1
@@t-dogg3896 I just think it's the scripting this year.. Every game I lose, I was winning wither 2-0 or 3-1 at one point.. There's literally nothing you can do when your players get slow out of nowhere..
Of all the things you can do to improve your game, this technique (I've found) is the single most impactful thing. Bringing this into my game has lifted my level significantly in all areas of the pitch, incl defending.

I just got FIFA 21 and it's so different from FIFA 20 which I was really good at. I hardly lost games there. Been losing a lot of games in FIFA 21. I haven't gotten used to the defending yet. But this helps. I just have to change my gameplay from what i was used to in 20. Thanks a lot.
Oh Boy. That changed everything. The theory behind it has been quite obvious for a time. But seeing it in action and live commented changed everything for me. Whatever you say can be applied anytime but is efficient when the ping is low. If your ping was 42-50ms like mine, trust me you cannot perform like that. I feel like a hero when my WL record is 14-1 or 14-2. (Div1 btw)

Thanks for the tip Neal. But how do you deal with those that apply suffocating pressure whereby there is little or no space to pass making you to rush your game.
Keep calm and composed. as you receive the ball make sure you are already holding the left stick in the direction away from the player pressing you. Then you might have to twist and turn a bit to get clear of the pressing player before you can make a pass.
Try to switch the play because this tactic tends to leave them with lots of players close to the ball, if you can thump it over to the other side you should have a good chance up that line.
I hate this game. I truly do. Hit Elite 3 first time last weekend. Skill rating 2200 in Rivals. Now all of a sudden this week I have been AWFUL at Rivals. AWFUL. Have dropped all the way to 1990. Go to your settings it called trainer or I think you can press down on the right analog stick or when you start a game press pause and it should be the under resume as trainer with a cone
How do your defenders keep in shape? Mine go all over the place when I’m defending and I can’t even switch players correctly, even using the analog stick

When defending, is it better to change player with L1/LB or RS? I tend to use the right stick but it doesn't function as well this year. Also is the RB AI press a thing of the past?

but neal youve got to admit that fifa is rigged and scripted and pay to win to a high extent I get it youre good at the game because youre good at the game but everyone is sick and tired of the meta fifa just isnt based on skill anymore
The passing is absolutely horrible. It will go where the ai decides is best. I've had straight forward 10 yard passes just go way off several times. I cannot figure out whats going on. But right now the gameplay is horrible.

I started following Premiere League when the pandemic started, which led to me starting to play FIFA about 4 months ago and this video has helped me immensely. I always wondered why I couldn't create space to perform moves and to attack and this was the reason why. Thanks for sharing!

The game has devolved so much over the years and I am already in my mid 30's, but this conted truly helps me. It would help a lot of you changed your eye tracker color a little though. When I see you play . I realize when am playing I rush too much. That’s why I quickly give the ball away and conceed goals. Taking the touch away from opponents is important. But opponents get lucky at times as the read what am about to do

"Take the touch away from the defenders" - Been following this piece of your advice since FIFA 20. In FIFA 21, it's a bit harder do you agree? What happened to you at @11:02, happens to me all the time.
Like he said” he was too slow in that situation” He didn’t notice that the opponent started pressing him before he even got the ball and when he took his first touch it was too late. My advice to you is always to watch for the opponents radar 🔽 then take your first touch in to the space. If it’s tight space or the opponent is very near then you should hold( L2) at the same time as you are taking your touch away from the opponent.
I think the key is to watch which player your opponent is controlling. See their cursor, and play the pass away from the play that they are controlling
He was holding the joy stick away from the ball which made Sanches move away which gave the opponent enough time to get the ball, if he ran towards the ball he could've gone forward or backwards
The opponents I find hard are the ones who seem to able to keep there player all over yours and just seem to drown you. Are they just good at predicting your movement or am I missing seem 'trick' better players use other than L2 + R2?
The ones you talk about are either on constant pressure, pressure on heavy touch, pressure after possesion lost or just cutting passing lanes with their cdm's. So you have to be careful with your passes against them. I personally play very toxic fifa against people who drop back with their cdm and manage to frustrate them to the extent where they open up their defence
I think its about the mindset, you not supposed to chase opponent or blocking passing lane, instead you fill the danger space with ur player. You will struggle in dribbling/passing vs opponent that have this mindset
