My boss, from Equador, was a staunch German supporter. One week before this game I told him Ghana would beat Germany. He laughed and pointing to the fact that we lost ho the USA . I told him and the other workers that Ghana would win. We were off on game day. 15 minutes into the game, my boss called me on the phone and said your booys are playing very well. Whe. Ghana went up 2-1, he called me again and he was changing his support from Hermzny to Ghana. At end of the game he called again and said I could take the next work day off because he knee I didn't get any sleep. To date that man still follow Ghana Stars. Something you didn't mention in your video: Ghana was the only team the Germans did not beat in the 2024 World Cup. That money issue cost Ghana a great deal in that World Cup. Was a very fantastic football to watch. Unfortunately, FIFA refused to post the full match on RU-vid. If indeed, they consider it to be the best game of the tournament, which of course it was, they should do the needful by posting the full match on their website or RU-vid for football professionals to study it and draw professional lessons from it. As for the Black stars, they had all it took to get to the top. Pettiness, anger, deceit, lack of respect and lack of transparency in money sharing on the part of GFA, that brought Ghana home. GFA has been repeating the looting and sharing of the national fund by the greedy politicians. That's why we're not able to get any cup at the international level
That Ghana Blackstars team was our best chance at winning the World Cup. The players allowed a very unnecessary distraction to deny them such a life time glory. They chose USD 100k over a chance at winning the world cup. Sad indeed.

We could have easily beaten the Germans by 3 goals to 1 if Jordan had passed the ball to Asamoah Gyan on a counterattack he began on the left wing of the Ghana attack against Lahm. I watched this game at home with my late dad at New Aplaku, Accra and we both believed Ghana was in pole position to covet the World Cup until we heard about the 3 million dollar flown by air to the Stars and the pandemonium in the camp.

I remember watching this game in Takoradi with my work colleagues. Most of my colleagues said Ghana was going to lose the game, but I stood solidly behind the black stars. I removed my shirt and did the Baloteli's iconic celebration when Asamoah Gyan scored our second goal 😅 I left the country a few months afterward. Thanks, Obama, for these great memories 😊

The major problem for this country is leadership. Why on earth do we have to carry cash to camp? Even our current team right now, if they're properly managed can do better. But it looks as if while the team is using their energy , good heart n sound mind to play, the leadership is also trying to take advantage and look for ways to steal... Its painful.
