My wife was born in Dunfermline and we visited there from New Zealand on 2019. Scotland is still her "heart" place although she has lived on NZ for more than 55 years. Aroha from NZ
Hello, you skillfully avoided Leven, Methil, Buckhaven etc. I was born in Cameron Hospital Windygates, across from the distillery and have returned to "smell" my past. My fatther and many of his ancestors and kin were coal miners in our kingdom. Please mention this part of Fife. An Aussie since 1971 but always a Fifer. Best regards, Tony Harrower
My ancestors left Fife County in 1872, were from Kennowy, and sought a new life in America, made their home in Costa Rica, a paradise in Central America. Now one of my nephews, is on a trip in London, and too plans on a trip ofor the to Fife County, looking for his accounts.
Fife isn't a county brother..... It's the only area in great Britain that has the title 'Kingdom' in it... The Kingdom of Fife.... The Earl's of Fife we're the only Lord's of Scotland who could legally crown a king, and often during wars or invasion These Earl's were the first to be captured.. as they were the king Maker's... :-) I'm a Fifer ma-sell..
beautiful, was brought up in glenrothes and have been to all these places. my father would walk us up the lomond hill often. brings a wee tear to my eye :)
I am glad I found this video! It has been wonderfully made! I wish I had found it sooner, I am proud to be a Fifer, I sat completely still listening to the music and looking at the pictures...aw it's just beautiful. Thank you! :)
Many thanks for this video. My ancestors were born in Newburgh and around cupar. Lovely to see what the area is like today. I live in adelaide, south australia.🦘
Hello, Rolf Mark1! I noticed that despite posting this last year, no-one has commented. I WILL!!!....as a true blue FIFER!X You have provided a brilliant video compilation, historical notes and an uplifting musical background. Many Thanks! I needed a link to show friends from south of our border, just how beautiful our KINGDOM, really is! Many thanks! XXX

@wbindian Thanks a lot,i work for Fife Council based at Cupar but live 16 miles further south,Cupar is a very nice place,it`s a shame more tourists that visit St Andrews don`t visit Cupar for a wee while.Hope your life has been happy in Australia,my niece emigrated there last year.
@@raithrovers1 I have to say that I was driving through Auchtermuchty on Friday on my way to St Andrews, from Kinross and there is not the market Square in Auchter. I watched Dr Findlay in the 60s and I was led to believe it was filmed in Perthshire around Callander? Love the video. Thanks 👍
