B-29 Fifi and B-24 Diamond Lil fly together at the Rocky Mountain Airshow in 2013. Smoke and explosions make for some exciting low flying. These very large and rare airplanes dominate the airspace and make a long lasting impression. Diamond Lil was the 25th built out of a total of 18,482 B-24s. Fifi was restored in the 1970s by the CAF and flew for over thirty years until 2006 when new customized engines were installed.
