We can never thank you enough for the time and effort to make these videos! Sharing your knowledge and understanding is very kind and extremely generous and gracious of you. Many people would not have the confidence to share what they have learned with those of us who have not had access to these specifics. The adjustment of size on a block is so very very useful, and showing us the importance of us taking the time to perfect measurements enables that elusive second skin perfect fit, that makes such a difference. Also want to thank you for showing the taking of measurements on an actual model. It becomes very clear when we see you take the measurements, instead of the rather vague reference points given by most books on this subject. I always look forward to your videos. They become even more insightful as you take us through the process. Do you have a book for purchase? I have looked on Amazon, but have not been able to find anything by you. Would definitely love a book to follow along with your videos!
@@ramyaramalingam7352 Just my thoughts on it, but the .5 cm represents the distributing of the difference between the live model’s measurements and the dress form/block measurements. Take snapshots of the video where she shows the equations (about middle of video). The vertical measurements differences will not be divided up... they each go on pattern piece as it is (these are the top of shoulder, as well as the measurement from neck down over bust down to waist) The measurement difference across the top back is divided by 2, and added to each side of shoulder. The other two measurements are around the entire body, so.... the difference in each measurement section gets divided by 4 and added to each side of both front and back pieces I understand why you would think seam allowance since they are each .5cm, but they could really be any number, it is just the result of each measurement difference, divided by 2 or 4, or in the vertical just the difference itself. One last note, the shoulder seams are adjusted the same on front and back. As for seam allowances, they are added after the alterations. Hope this helps a little, it’s just my thoughts on her excellent video!!! Good luck!!!
Oh! At last, I have been waiting for this to start. God bless you Fifi. God will continue to increase your knowledge. You are an answer to my prayer. Love you so much.
