Did you plug this Countryman to the Fifine K031? I don't get how did you test mic and transmiters. Are all mics connected to Fifine transmiters or not? That poor sound quality is transmiter problem, or ONLY mic problem? What quality can i get mixing Fifine transmitter with Countryman mic?

Hi Oliver - thanks so much for this excellent product review. I am a priest, who now in this COVID world is recording our worship services for our parishioners. I own this exact FIFINE product you reviewed, and find it just as you described. However, the durability of the cable itself is not the best, and after a while, I think it is damaged inside, thereby providing for crackly/intermittent sound at times. But the concept is exactly what I need (i.e. a wireless, lavalier, USB mic). Do you recommend one that is not in the "budget" category? Especially with how important it is to stay connected to our people in these COVID times, we are not averse to spending more. Thanks!

The crackling might be from the wireless, not the microphone. (Just keep that in mind, I’m not 100% sure or anything)

I’m finding the same problem with crackle and intermittent sound. I’ll follow up on the warranty service. Otherwise this is fantastic for me as I have to make recordings and videos as a sideline for my business and need something fast, easy and simple to use.

Hi there, was just wondering if lecturing live, can I use this to record the audio and subsequently upload after class? Or does the receiver have to be plugged into a device to record in real time?

This is simply a wireless receiver and therefore will need to plug into a recording device!

Wow that's noisy and poor low frequency response. I wonder how it sounds if you used your own Lav mic with the transmitter.

I am low on budget but if I wanna sell my courses I need a decent sound from a microphone that I can plug directly to my mac. Do you think Blue Snowball would make it or it will take some other a little bit more expensive? I am very thankful for you time and, by the way, you have a new subscriber!

What is that mic you currently have on your shirt? It would sound decent if you were in a better acoustic environment. If you could record in a room with less hard surfaces, aka carpet, furniture, etc., it would dramatically improve the sound of your current lav mic. If you want more stuff like this the Snowball won't work for you since it's a big desktop mic. This mic (amzn.to/2GcxCFH) will plug into a smartphone $29. While at the higher price point of $80 (amzn.to/2Fq4hdP) this Rode mic will also go into a smart phone and sounds really good.

To be honest audio is almost everything on a film, the mic frequency response is ridiculously horrible. Did you try using a good lav mic? you could of plugged in a better on to test noise on the transmitter.

Do you feel that I could use this to record a group of 6 going into a boss br1600cd ? My hope is that the effects in the boss will help with the sound quality .

No way will anything help this things sound quality. You'll be high and dry with bad audio.

Let alone the sound quality, the K031 is quite suitable to use on a AUX or 1/4" mic input. If you really need a budget option and your boss recoder runs a 1/4" mic input , perhpas you can take a look at the K037B.

I think it's a yes, we have tested with quite a few Android. And it works with smartphones that are launched from Samsung, Google, Xiaomi, Huawei and Sony via a proper USB adapter. Depending on the USB port of your Android, you need a micro-USB (or type C) male to type A female adapter.
