Priva Sea V is hull Number 1 of the 485 series by Island Packet. The is the flagship of the Island Packet brand. These yachts are designed and built to the highest standards in the industry and Priva Sea V is an excellent example of that.
She has a powerful cutter rig and yet is easily handled by a couple thanks to furling gear on all sails and electric winches. The center cockpit is large and comfortable with a full enclosure for when the weather is adverse. A 100hp Yanmar diesel engine and an 8 kw Mas generator supply the power needs of the boat.
Below decks, one will find a large, very spacious main salon, with a light and airy feel to it. There are 2 main staterooms with their own head and ensuite shower plus a third cabin that has either a berth or desk as desired. The galley is situated in the walk thru between the main salon and the master. It is ideal for meal preparation whether at sea or at anchor. The master is large, with an athwartship island bed and tons of storage.
The mast is new in 2018 along with the rigging, and two of the sails. The chain plates were replaced in 2023 even though the old ones still had life in them.

We sailed over 10,000 miles in our IP 485 including almost two years without touching a dock in French Polynesia. Great boat, I know it very well.

That is a gorgeous boat! If it was mine I'd be considering replacing the canvas dodger/cockpit roof with a carbon fiber roof. Yes it would be heavier, but you could put some real solar panels up there to supplement the ones on the dinghy arch.

1) Get a FULL inspection before buying. The boat tipped off its stands in a storm. Listing claims the mast took the impact (hence the in-mast furling replacement), but the boat needs to be micro-examined on dry land. 2) There is a washer/dryer in that "kid's room"! And if you close the berth, you get an office desk. 3) The drawer beneath the fridge is a beverage cooler, not an ice maker. 4) Both of those settees pull out into berths. (You really ought to read the listing before you film the tour. You miss showing important features.)

The name of channel is learning the lines, not I know the lines. But I honestly think he is being respectful not trying to mess to much with things. Maybe the listing came out same time as video? Any ways I think he is the one out there doing these videos and I am not. I try and never criticize others for trying to do something, anything that is positive or at least not negative. None of these tours get everything in them unless they are the sellers agent and they usually get more wrong than right and they will get paid for selling the boat. Jordan does good videos with good content but he's not selling the boat.

I love boats, yachts and ships more than the desire of living in a warm safe home. I wish you guys had cannels like we do in the UK because narrow boats are also amazing themselves. - The centre cockpit is lovely, the Visibility is brilliant and that is a great trade off to the size itself in my opinion. - Going below is very spacious, you could easily live in there full time without feeling "boxed in" - The galley is impressive for the size, I would happily be able to cook in there for my parents and siblings without worry about fitting everything in. - Engine bay looks well managed and clean which is a peace of mind. (I've seen some dirty looking engine bays and I question how often someone looks in there to check on the engines health) Its been a long long time since I was on any type of yachts but this one brings me back to the enjoyment I had as a child just sailing around the Greece and the islands.

definitely a nice looking boat. If those jerry jugs in the rear storage locker are for gasoline, might be a good idea to rig up an on-deck storage solution and get them out of there - that's not somewhere you want to have gasoline being stored; if God Forbid there is ever a spill or leak, which can happen all it takes is one piece of cracked plastic and a little bit of weather, it would be a hell of an effort to get the fumes out. Definitely a nice design for a 50-footer, very nice.

Hell, I've watched your channel past few years....I'm glad it's successful, and a lot of current Sailors and newbies are appreciative of your channel, I've started a fledgling RU-vid channel myself, and currently live aboard a 37 foot Endeavor ketch that I'm working on at Anchor in N.C.......Florida has changed for the worse regarding Sailing, ICW etc....transient Sailors are not as welcome anymore, and only cater to the Wealthy....such a shame.....they call this progress, but the times are rapidly changing, and I'm not sure it's for the good 😮

I do like IP boats. That being said the LOA is 52.17’ and the LWL is 43.17’. Almost a 10’ difference. You are paying for a 52’ boat but get the living space of a 43’ boat. The price of a dated design.

What's your opinion on IP interiors looking half completed? meaning lots of gel coat walls and half the salon floor is bare

I think it's less maintenance/water damage in the long run. I love wood, but I also know it's not as durable as as a fiberglass/gel coat liner. I think IPs strike a balance between wood and long term maintenance.

I'm surprised the nav station isn't also a helm station. That would really help in poor visibility because you'd have your radar, e-chart, and radio right next to you.

The autopilot probably has a remote you carry around to steer from any part of the boat.

Just the right boat: ❤ It's the right Boat Size, I like the two separate shower's and good size heads, two good and spacious Cabins with a doble bunk Cabin, versatil and modern Galley and in very, good shape, I like the position of the chart table two, the Engine is well looked after... But, the big climb down stern locker looks to be in a ''poor and shabby'' state to me... It has strong stern Davits-arms for a good size Dinghy... It's just the right boat for me 🎱 But it has a '''colossal''' asking price..? 💔 For a 21 yare old, second or ''third hand'' fiberglass boat...? It Cost's 3 times the price of my own home! ...? Whaaat? 🤧🧚‍♀🧞‍♀🛌 Excuse my Up's and Down's, but I have to congratulate the whole team of '''learning the lines''' It's a good and clear, no cost, boat channel, I have allways liked to see boats and check boats out, sice my perents began taking me on Sunday walks thrgh Marinas and Ports... And I have been ''seeking'' the right boat to circumnavigate our Bleu Planet ever since... Our dream life, or the raght life... Will'it ever come?🗽🌠💰
