The way her voice cracked when she ran out shows how good of an actress she is. Her emotions and how terrified she must have felt, felt so real I got so sad for her.
I know that was terrifying for Anna I heard that crack when she twisted his finger then she kneed him in the crotch kudos to Anna had she been sober in the first movie she would've done the same thing to Jose when he tried to force a kiss on her. Or better yet when Christian smacked her on her a$$ when he carried her away because she announced she was going to see her mom the moment Christian put her down she should've punched or slapped him for hitting her.
i feel like dakota is undervalued as an actress just because she did a movie like fifty shades of grey. but she's actually super good, and this scene really shows that.
More like tried to stifle my face, the options were would you be kept or would you like to be taken seriously? She was already taken seriously, that leaves only the other option.. which sucks, hence the kick..
Yep, it explains why his other assistants quit without giving notice he would've made it difficult for them when they applied for other jobs I wonder if they reported him to hr. When his other 2 assistants quit Jack got angry & frustrated because they rejected his advances Anna is no different dude if you want to get laid do it outside the workplace not at your job. Anna had to suffer at her last employer of a guy bugging her to go out with him plus her bf Jose pulling a Jacob Black on her now her boss nearly assaults her. This is EL James's fantasy she's Anna & Myers's Bella Swan who married her Jacob.
Imagine so many women actually have to go through this , how big a mental scar this leaves, I know my comment comes here as a surp but this reminded me of my ex , she was harrassed the same way by her boss, the guy had two children still he would everyday pass these invitation comments to her ..So much anger I saw and I felt it that very day that a women's privacy is something sort of auspicious or on a god level,if a man can't respect that he deserves no woman..
Anna seemed so sweet and shy at the beginning of the series of fifty shades. But underneath this , she knew self defense and how to shoot a gun. Such a layered character and well done by Dakota.
I don’t like Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, but this scene is quite of fantastic and quite realistic when Anastasia got out of the building. Dakota Johnson is a very talented actor.
Same, I didn't watch the movies because I think the story is really abusive and romanticized. But this scene actually stayed with me because of how common this shit is and how realistic the scene gets. And I think that the protective aspect also got me a little bit.
Just like deer in the head lights. Though women had no real protection until recently, what happens next is or should be her choice. Karate and Model Mugging can make the physical response pretty automatic, as my X will attest. Not every gal now days is like the movies that STILL use women in a real antiquated way. He is the Big Boss and thinks he has purchased a new toy. Her moves were pretty bad but it did the job.
The young female desk attendant at my small gym was being 'closely' talked to by one of the members. It had a creepy vibe to it. When he left I asked her what he was doing. She told me, "he wants me to go out with him." I told her she was being sexually harrassed as indeed she was, it was plain to see. She had grown up sheltered and hadnt encountered such things. I told her to immediately go up to the office and report him and that I would go with her if she wanted me to. She reported him and his membership was terminated immediately. PLEASE if you see something, step in. You may prevent a tragedy. These creeps should be castrated.
You told her she was being harassed? Isn't that up to her? She grew up sheltered so you made your decision for her? I think it's you who have the problem undervaluing females. Your assumptions about the other guy being 'creepy' are just that. Now you've miseducated her, harassed a man with no cause or evidence and evidently are cool with violent punishment for talking to women. Pretty sick stuff. I find you creepy.
@@tedtedstone1231 If you had been there, my friend, you would have known exacttly what was going on. It was scary for her because, like so many, we try to be polite and respectufl and scumbags take full advantage of it. There was absolutely NO doubt what was going on. She needed help, even though she may not have realized it. Comments like yours will NEVER shake my belief that I did the right thing and I thank God I was given the wherewithall to step up;. Your misguided opinions make me think you might be one of those scumbags. Or is my opinion of you misguided.
A small and undervalued moment in this scene is the instant way Taylor comes right back out of the car the moment he sees her burst through the door. Their relationship has always been one of my favorites because he silent but his actions say so many things. He is always there at a moments notice for her and genuinly seems to care.
As cringe as these movies were I still can’t help but love their relationship in many ways, and their acting! You can’t fault Dakota’s acting here you just can’t, it felt so realistic and I’m sure many women could relate watching! I just love how protective he is aswell and how much he cares
Dakota is an incredible actress, including in these films. And while I could (and have) analyzed all the many, many dysfunctional aspects of Christian and Ana's relationship (though much more so in the books than in the films), when she begged Christian to stay and he *immediately* did so without hesitation and focused on comforting her instead of his own desire for revenge.... that's genuinely one of the most touching, loving scenes I've ever seen in *any* romantic movie.
Wasn’t “cringe” for me or whatever word people use these days I thought movies like these exists cause someone might enjoy otherwise why tf the book was written
never liked her character but after this scene i felt so bad ,, this hits home so seeing her say ''he touched me" i felt her pain and it made me realized how a good actress she is.
Everyone is saying how good her acting was here. I totally agree. I would have to actually be in the situation in order to show emotion like this and the fact that Dakota had to act and it came off so believable is just amazing. She deserves more recognition for her work. She may be known for being in the Fifty Shades franchise but she's so much more than that. Cast this girl in more movies! Let her show off the amazing talent she's got!
I’ve never seen this movie bc I figured it was a silly porno but that was actually so sad. When she was panicking at the end my heart stopped, I felt so bad for her.
The books are far and above waaaayyyy better. They give more detail and make it feel like an actual love story, which was the intention. The movies are good but do give more porn vibe. My opinion.
She's extremely talented, and her acting is on point. Few years ago when a man strange man approached me after catcalling me (a child), he was obviously coming towards me with malicious intent. This is the same way I reacted when I was finally in the arms of safety. I didn't want my older brother leaving me alone.
Many people give shit to Jamie and dakota for starring in this franchise but tbh the series just made them better known in the industry. They're good actors, still underrated tho
Ana : I apologize that christian was so curt with you the other night. Is that what this is about ? Jack : your boyfriend has a reputation for being a little ruthless. Is that what you like? Ana: if you have a problem with my work then you should take it up with HR . Jack : whoa..why are you being so serious Me: because you’re sick Guys 😤😤😤
In the book , he is bloody and hurt by Anna he gets a call from HR says no ; he gonna file a assaults Chargers Taylor beats him up & then Anna says he has their emails that they been sending eachother he wanted to blackmail her christen told her I said use the blackberry christen calls his workers to delete all the emails and see what else he has in his files he goes too them and hits him because he didn’t want to leave the company that’s where christen says he’s he owns the company his bodyguards say we seen him fall gave him tissues
Despite people saying these movies are awful, I think the acting can be really good, especially in this scene. Both Eric and Dakota did really good at portraying their characters here!
@@Daniel-cz7kd Don't you see it? First, he's a billionaire, but he still have time for Ana. How many billionaires have free time for the person they love when they're busy working? Second, he's quite romantic. Every girl doesn't care if it's real or fake, but they will fall in love with romantic guys. Especially, he only loves Ana. And I wish there's that kind of person in my life who is willing to do anything for me because he loves me. And the third, he's damn handsome. I know this is just a movie that's why the actor has all of this. That's why I said if there's someone like him in real life, that's wonderful. Can you imagine who have all those three points? I mean, Billionaire, Romantic and honest, and handsome like that?
I think Dakota is TERRIFIC in this movie, she nailed the role and the movie addresses so many real issues that people don't want to admit happen every day--from molestation, to outlets, to control, to abuse (in all preceding categories) to come back, to not selling out, it covers it all. She was perfect for this role as was Jamie Dorman and the cast in general
Me being someone who had been molested publicly on multiple occasion; Dakota (Anastasia) acted that scene really well. From the panting to the stutter in speech- just felt so real it gave me chills
Ugh 😩 I love 💕 Christian he’s amazing in so many ways and the actor made his role impeccable just umpire to another level 😊❤ I need to find a man like him protective. Willing to defend yes please 😅❤
I feel like at the beginning he had a point for like two point two seconds sometimes when your boss says there is a trip that could help your career you good. But the rest he just crazy lol
I love this scene for one simple reason. They (director) let her just run away that makes it looks genuine. If she would stop for her things or said something it would look so forced and stupid.
I know the first movie was cringe but the rest of the movies were actually pretty good imo. This scene being so well written and Dakota Johnson was so underrated in this role. One of the best!
The scary thing to think about is how many women are going through such a thing right now, but don't have a support net or a rich partner to fall back on and have to put up with this stuff...
A paid counselor is as close as a victim can get to someone who can provide the kind of support one really needs. partner or friends...Even if they love the victim and insist that they should be helping, it is an incredible burden on so many levels and exhausting as heck just to listen, in spite of being emotional twins, for a variety of reasons.
After reading all of the books and watching all of the movies I feel like the books were 10 times better, but this is one of the few moments where the movie was better and this was amazing
It’s sad how many times she had to say “sorry” to her boss who was treating her that way and was the one who was not properly respecting her. You can’t force someone to like you what the heck. And when he threatened her to lose her job and shit so screwed up. :(
Hey but also when Christian say " Taylor....taylor gets them" he was so nervous and it's so different because he always was so....dont show he's a emotion I guess
As long as I watch 3 films, I can't see the tears coming out when Anna cries, she just expressed through her sad face. And am I the only one who feels that their expressions look the same from start to finish? I see it like that, actually a bit annoyed when watching it but because the storyline is interesting so i still watch this film 😁
