Great stuff! We started operating this way after watching several of your gameplay videos and just watching your map and how you move. Now I have names for the plays. I'm typically on the front line, but I'm starting to play with the AWP so I'm switching up every once in a while with the anchor position. Great work. I really do appreciate all your videos. You make everybody better as you get better and that's admirable. See you in the lobby! McBoatface

Kinda blows my mind how much of this I just do subconsciously, either from trial & error or from osmosis from playing with more strategic players. That flank is so important, I've clutched many games by just asking my team to hold their position and keep them busy while I sneak off to the side or behind. Or when they try to wrap around I'll match their wrap to make sure they can't increase their angles One of the frustrating parts for sure is when your team members aren't able to identify when they need to cut and run and instead try a hail Mary play and just die. I've been in many situations where I've died because of a third party and there's one teammate who can definitely rotate out but instead they decide to fight and die or they just don't decide fast enough. I think my first week of gold division I secured a win after getting third partied early by just making the decision to leave immediately. Rotated through zone, got my team up. Then 3rd partied the last two squads. We only had 4 kills but 1st place and 4 kills on the ARC point system is significant. I've gotten pretty good at making thay split decision, but I don't get it right all the time. Sometimes yeah we get out but if we're outclassed there's not much we can do. Great video

I've played a lot of pvp mmorpg and I can say the following - I've watched it just thousands of times. There is one very important point. When a person faces danger or panics, their frontal lobes actually shut down. Therefore, one should not expect that a person in battle will find some elegant solutions. And the human brain is quite "lazy" and always follows the simplest and most obvious path (to go directly on the attack, instead of flank). I have watched hundreds of times how two armies just attack each other directly until they run out of men and until someone wins. If there were 3-5 people who acted consciously (they used flanking, used the terrain, used the tactics of pulling forces towards themselves from the flank, came from behind and killed those who had little hp) - this could decide the outcome of the battle even if when it comes to hundreds of players. To avoid this, it is necessary to ask yourself every few seconds - and what can I do at the moment CONSCIOUSLY. After some time of such mental games, you can create a subpersonality that will be responsible for this survey and it will pop up in the mind unconsciously. I can say that initially a very small percentage of people know how to play team pvp games in this way. 10% play well, but only 2-3% play consciously. After a while, I seem to have grasped how to teach this to the players. I watched the player play and said "think about what you can do now - is it possible to get around from the flag, is it possible to pull the enemies towards you so that your teammates are on the side of the enemies. Is it possible to stretch the enemies. Tell the teammates what you are doing and give them intel.Slowly my voice became an autonomous voice in that player's head and my voice became a subpersonality in his head. This is quite an interesting process, it would be interesting to know if the military is doing something like this in the training of soldiers.

Such a good explanation! I believe I have been pushing too hard as a front line person and will try to chill a little bit for my team to form up. Pistol Maverick!

I love when I have a chance to be the anchor

Similar to offense in ice hockey. Typically the Wingers are more aggressive and tend to score more but the center calls the plays, controls the tempo, supports the offense but hangs back in a defensive manner

This was a timely video with the PommeS tournament coming up next week. It will be my first comp. Were you trying to get into that?
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
Sweet! No, wasn't planning on joining that

According to RU-vid's subtitles you were saying "rapping" around the player. But what if you don't have any sense of rhythm, or can't think of any rhymes?

Thank you so much for making this video! Extremely valuable info that is hard to find... One small question: if you're the anchor, and your team gets attacked from the side (the other two sides of the triangle) so you find yourself and one of your teammates being the frontline, does the third teammate who's now at the back assume the role of the anchor (deciding when to flee, when to push and who to support) or do you back off and switch places to become the anchor again?
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
There's never a perfect scenario that's always going to work. 1, your other front man can rotate and flank, if you two can hold without dieng: 2) you/anchor become the frontman, and the flanker becomes the anchor. Number 2 is more likely. Everyone should know how to play every position, but some will do certain roles better than others

I’ve been asking every alpha player for advice on strategies and such. The answer I ALWAYS get is , ‘just instinct". I knew! I just knew there had to be more. Thank you SO much Pink for making this video! So …do you have any protocols for Duos?
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
Many protocols for duos, because I did mixed doubles forever. One video is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m4ML80l3qdQ.html
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
Duos is very different. The way you play, depends on the skill level of the team. The higher the skill, the more you can separate and be positioned farther away from each other.

Hey I’ve been improving a ton from watching your videos. Just hit level 18 and I’m winning about 3 out of every 4 games I play. The rooms are mostly bots and not very challenging. How does all that work? When do I get to play more challenging games? Does it have to do with my level? Or is it the time of day/day of week I’m playing? Can you do a video explainer on this?
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
Enjoy the easy lobbies. Once you hit level 10, you can get paired up with me. At least that's how it used to be. Noone knows the exact matchmaking rules. They certainly change it regularly. But very soon, you will be up against level 60s and then the people like me, who eat the level 60s. Will probably happen within the next 10 or 20 levels

@@populationone-pinkpwnage2894 sick, can’t wait for the challenge. I just answered part of my own question when I finally joined on a Saturday/Sunday evening. Zero bots and a few really good players/crews. Only won 2 out of about 20 games over those two days. Thanks again for the content and reply!

Hey question for you, I normally don't have a third, used to play comp for 4 seasons and made it to most championships, don't have time anymore though, anyways I just play pubs with my buddy so any tips on how to position on a 2v3 on a good team? (Any normal team we just run through)
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
If you both are high skill, position wide so you have the enemy flanks. You can also run away if one of you goes down. In squads, you can likely solo a squad if you have a mp5, so no need to stack

Hey Pink would it Abe advantageous to have your best long range shooter as the anchor as long as they can move well?
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
Definitely want your best long range in the back. The team that has the best long range wins in the current meta.

Any advice for players who don’t have a squad, who always goes into the lobby solo

Be a ninja. Sometimes playing as a team with randoms is not the best way to win.

I need to get this video to my teammates without hurting their pride. I know which ones need which roles but everyone wants to be a front line player because everyone likes the action. Im stuck in a place where I need to tell them without losing my friends. Does anyone have tips? For PinkPWNAGE - I played in your lobby the other day and actually almost wiped your squad twice. Im clearly not even close to as good as you but your teammates didn't fulfill their roles in the fights. I believe CHAPMAN77 was supposed to be your anchor but they were constantly backing off to heal and didn't reduce the pressure that we were putting on you and ryze. Even though you did wipe us at one point, I think your teammates could've completed their roles better. Nautilus1806
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
Your team did good teamwork that game. In public games, we never play tactically, or noo ne stands a chance, usually split up and fight different teams.
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
Forgot first part of question. I'm same way, I like the front, but so does everyone else, so I naturally just be nice and just let others front line. I'm actually the 2nd front line though, about 80% of the time in my comp team.
@Nautilus1806
@Nautilus1806 Год назад
Thanks for the compliment. After you wiped us it looked like ryze was going to revive you but he kept stalling right at the end. Is this some form of advanced tactic that I don’t know about?
@populationone-pinkpwnage2894
@Liam Gries hahaha, he was trolling me, that was the tactic.
