Rob's vocal peak was during Defenders through Painkiller. After Painkiller, his voice declined. But there is so much greatness to his voice that he still sounded great. And even to this day his voice is great.
Pop losers ? Let's say Mick Jagger/The Rolling Stones since 1964, Paul Mc Cartney since 1963, Elton John since 1969, David Bowie since 1967 until his death in 2016, David Gilmour since 1968, Roger Waters since 1967...
They call Halford the Metal God for a reason . I can't believe how many people overlook that's Satchel of Steel Panther on lead guitar . Amazing axeman .
daniel heiman from heed/lost horizon, the dude from 3 inches of blood. it's just singing in falsetto, many people can do it but no not many people overuse it.
It's his full voice, which is hard to do. I am training to do the same and my headvoice can reach G#5. My falsetto does reach the same note but in falsetto its very low volume. I wish I could reach 6th octave like rob halford did in the 80's.
@@KarlKeesel He mostly uses headvoice (only on soft passages he uses falsetto). But my range is increased extremely now I read my 3 years old comment XD.
Rob really put together a killer line up here. This might be my favorite metal song ever. So much energy. Rob seemed to be so into this. Great to see him so energized. Looks like he's about to jump into the pit. This album/line up was just unbeatable. I saw this tour in 94 in Asbury Park NJ and it was probably the most intense show I've been to.
@@papaforever3706 Hell yeah!! Thanks for the love and support over the year. I hope you never stop watching our musical video and shows. Stay metal 🤘🏼😈💛
Been a metal connoisseur since 1983....so one can imagine how many albums I've listened to. THIS album is on my top 20 of all time. Halford & the rest of Fight really captured lightening in a bottle and created a masterpiece.
As much as I love Judas Priest (and I do love Judas Priest - have seen them live 7 or 8 times over the years) this in my humble opinion is the best music Rob Halford ever made - I saw Fight in Detroit touring on War of Words at Harpo's and then later on Small Deadly Space at the Palladium. Had never heard the material before and was simply blown away... I mean BLOWN AWAY - Halford was riveting - the band was nothing short of amazing...Halford's finest period. Pure Metal Genius!!!
I saw Fight 4 times. I do love the songs, but the musicians are not up to par for Rob. Satchel was the only really good musician (other than Scott Travis) and he was only there for a short time. The other guitarist is horrible, along with the bass player. ROb realized this after making the 2nd album and ditched them. Great move. The Halford band was WAY more talented and wrote way better songs. my 2 cents
@@ChazinFl1 They werent that bad, I mean teh guitarist he has here looks like the same in halford in 2001. He isn't the best but he can play his own stuff well. halford band did write great songs but also some lesser songs just like in fight. The laid back vibe from 90's early 00's doesn't work well for halford.
I'm from Detroit and also have seen priest 6 times. I've actually played Drums on stage @ Harpos a couple times. I'm Bummed for Missing Fight at that Venue. Holy Hell you are Lucky🤘
I WAS lucky enough to see this at the Coogee Bay Hotel in Sydney. I'm 49 now, and have been loving Rob and JP since I was 13. The gig with Satchell is a highlight in my life.
Rob Halford kicks sooo much ass!!! The live performances, the stage presence, the songs, the albums, the talent, the attitude, and the balls! The balls to be unapologetic for being true to himself! That is not easy.... Thank you so much for the endless hours of top notch entertainment:)
When I met panther i said to him " loved your work in FIGHT " He looked shocked and after a quick pause he replied " oh no way! Right on!" Almost like they want to not talk about it. Keep up the 80s persona haha
I was front center during this tour in Orlando, at a bar opened by Jani Lane from Warrant before he passed. I had a broken leg/foot and i sat and the base of the stage with Rob singing over me part of the show. Rob tore the setlist off the floor and gave it to me right after the show when I asked him for it. I will find it and post it if anyone is interested! I wonder if Rob remembers that gig at Jani Lanes bar!
Rob's voice has ALWAYS GAVE ME CHILLS FROM HEAD TO TOE!!! I saw FIGHT many years ago at the Limelight. While waiting on line, I see Rob Halford and a couple other people getting into a Limo and I remember asking, "Where the fuck is he going??!" Anyway, I can't tell you enough about how happy I was being there that night and saying, "There's no place I'd rather be than HERE watching these incredibly talented guys, along with ALL MY CHILLS AND MORE!!! 🤘
I Really Really Really Like The Fight …. Seen this Live in a small venue in Toronto, Ontario right up front and center ….. It was freakin amazing … really wish there was more from Halford and these boys !!!!
All while chewing gum! I am so lucky to have seen both fight tours! What Ana amazing time-and I didn’t know how lucky we were. We need a fight REUNION!
@Rob Halford Your paths with JayJay were compliments of a referral I gave him to Margie over at Artistic Skin Design (Jim Watson's studio). I met JayJay at PV Mall at the bust station and he asked for a light as we began discussing my tattoos. He handed me a business card that said "Suicidal Tats" and asked if I knew anyone looking for a tattoo artist. I sent him over to Artistic Skin Design on Camelback. This was around 1990-1991. A few years later I went and saw Fight at The Mason Jar and saw JayJay on stage playing bass. What a small world. ;)
Not many bands these days of this caliber....If the youth of today, tried to put together a band like this, it would, most likely be named, "Surrender".
Drove all the way from Indiana to Tampa Florida to see the War of Words Tour and it was well worth it!! Anthrax opened up. We were cracking up because Charlie Benante was driving the tour bus.
