@@regardsyou8237Undisputed is close to being finish and it still sucks how long do they need stop showing us the crappy version because undisputed looks horrible compared to fight night champion slow and punches jus dont feel right
I'd be happy with a new fight night with updated fighters, slightly better graphics, more fps than before. That would be great. Someone should just make a new fight night, no need to change much, just add feints by holding a certain button when you swing the punch.
To me personally anyone who has actually trained boxing in real life will know undisputed actually feels horrible with how the shots are thrown and placed .. it has no sharpness and timing seems non existent
Seriously though, and I feel the animations look terrible, very non fluid robot like punches and footwork. Looks like they mocapped the fighters shadowboxing with 40 pound dumbbells
@@Notfakeultralayed it and noticed immediately the feet placement is stiff and doesn’t match the punch being thrown in fact all the feet placement looks the same when punch stand still and that’s not real life throwing a jab and throwing a hook or uppercut look the exact same in this game
I'll put it this way, I'm still enjoying Fight Night 12 years later. I enjoyed Undisputed for about maybe a month. I was playing both a fair amount when Undisputed came out, and I still feel like Champion is much better, by a pretty large margin. Still enjoy online matches, and even fighting the AI. Of course, people will just counter with the fact it was made by a large company compared to an indie that made Undisputed, which, fair enough, but I still maintain that other than graphics, Fight Night all the way.
Sugar Ray Leonard is 67 years old and he still punches faster and does more damage than any boxer on Undisputed. Instead of capping the speed so much, they should just add a larger penalty to stamina. And they really need to tone down flash ko % and change it back to the way it was a couple months ago. it’s happening way too frequently and will kill an already dead “ranked” online.
Mannnn let’s face it undisputed sucks and is definitely not what we thought it was gonna be……just off the animations alone and the way the player moves and throws punches….fight night is Better
To each their own cause I think the games looks pretty good but just needs some minor changes in animations, yea the damage could be better too but personally I have no problem finishing people
Body shots seem to do so much more in Fight Night. You can absolutely tee off on someone's body in Undisputed and it barely does anything. Also Martial the people NEED a Saki showcase! Much love brother
They don’t bend at the waist, no one is walking them out, the dialogue is repetitive, there’s no ref in the ring, there’s no range in punches, everybody has the same fighting style , I could go on and on. They should’ve let EA just make another one because when this drops, I’m going to still be playing fight night champion.. Undisputed is like playing a arcade game in the corner store back in the day
The punches on Undisputed don't have any BAD INTENTIONS. The punches don't come out fast enough. The punches don't have enough impact. There's no Vulnerability Damage System like UFC 3 and UFC 4.
I actually think the mocap was done shadowboxing. Same w ufc 4 but the material gathered was from fighters and professionals. The mocap for undisputed had to been some random guy who got the job from indeed
Undisputed needs mechanics for moving strikes, mechanics for moving evasion, increased stopping power, a much higher damage registration, an updated vulnerability system, a nuances critical damage system, a dynamic barge/collide system etc man theres so much I can recommend. The game needs a lot of work and the unfortunate thing is I warned everyone. The money and time the devs spent on getting dumb sht like licenses etc shouldve been focused entirely on mechanics, because there is only so much they can focus on as indie developers - they aint EA. But no. Everyone and the devs wanted "famous boxers, real arenas and authentic belts!" even if that meant a crap boxing game with trash mechanics, rather than a brilliant boxing game with made up boxers, arenas.
remember when that clip came out of those two boxers playing the game in a locker room or something and it totally looked like shit but folks were like “no no no they just don’t know what they’re doing they don’t know how to play!!!!” that’s the comment section and a lot of the creators were saying it fast forward like a year later and it still looks like the same crap no matter how skilled the player is because the BONES are infected it literally can’t be patched and fixed this is the game
I’ve been doing my best to steer these idiots in the right direction but I’ve pretty much lost all hope. You can’t fix stupid. 🤦♂️Starting to feel like a money grab.
Nah imma stick with champions. I was 04 because of champions blocking being annoying as fuck to deal with during walk back but I've found a solution to every problem in champions
@@navsingh9406 champions had more attacks than any of the other fight nights except those signature punches but they incorporated them into the normal strings. Fight night round 3 was nothin but parry cheese, just wait and parry.
The number 1 issue most people have with gameplay atm seems to be damage. That should be the next thing they tackle. Speed needs to be improved too. There are some very fast guys in the game that feel good. The general speed level needs to be buffed across the board.
I actually bought an xbox one about a year ago and found that fight night champion came with the game pass.. I've barely played anything else. Still holds up after all if these years. Love the online battles.
Do you think undisputed gonna Change the punches animations? this is the biggest issues in this Game. The punches & headmovement. i dont Think they gonna Change it.
@@ironr.boxing6719 Unfortunately the actual bones (foundation) of the game is flawed. What you see is what you'll get, plus a new roster of women fighters and more "pros" with 0-0-0 records
Not true .. I specialize in only fighting sim in both games.. while easier in undisputed to move around the blocking system in FNC makes it way easier to just punt block spammers and hit them in between combos
Undisputed just doesn't feel powerful enough, it makes the game so boring to me. When you play singleplayer though, and up the power the game becomes better, the animations you can then forgive the sluggishness you can forgive, point being if they added the power we'd be happy to wait later for the updates to come and the game to progress. We'd at least have something enjoyable.
as a "oldtimer FNC nerd" i find undisputed verry pleasing. The latest update to the game is something i noted verry fast. FNC is more of a slugfest, Undisputed is a snoozefest. But im thinking more while im making moves playing Undisputed.
The 360 generation was really the best. Games were so good back than. The past two generations have been disappointing. Can't even make a good boxing game.
Love your vids man! I learned how to play UFC and Fight Night watching your videos over the years. Recently started a new play through on Legacy Mode in FN Champion after all of this Undisputed gameplay!
@@Freeezie yeah but its powerful, and exciting. You never know when the ko is coming, meanwhile undisputed is one sided and almost strictly volume based
@@thomasstull6147 Undisputed definitely loses a bit of that excitement playing more like a Simulator than a Simcade, Fight night round 3 definitely brang the heat.
About the switching of stances you talked about, I noticed a lot of people do that in Muay Thai IRL too. It's funny, I'll switch stance and they immediately will too, it's kind of funny
I am not sure about comparing a game from an established company that has got the formula down through previous games leading up to fight night champions and an unfinished game by a new studio. Sure, they are in the same genre but experience and funding do make a difference.
Fight night champion still better and its so sad UNDISPUTED has to go through patches to get feedback like who's working with these guys it was way better when it was called ESBC fo some reason they went backwards at first they had the right idea now they just lost there minds and dont know what there doing like how do you have all these pro boxers in the game and not getting the fundamentals right seems like these active boxers really not helping with the game like we thought
Fight Night Champion has everything you expect in a boxing game one thing i wish they could add in the legacy mode when you gotta go to even make it to where we can actually see what happens in the events you go to but other then that Fight Night Champion mops the floor with Undisputed 10 years old game and still looking brand new.
@@regardsyou8237 If its still under development then thats already L fight night champion already had everything developed when that game was release 10 years still looks brand new come on now
@@regardsyou8237 and another did you not here what martial was saying about undisputed punches its no pop to it no explosive those punches on undisputed looks pixel compared to fight night champion you feel all of that so undisputed is not better than fight night champion.
@@kingkbtv and I said it's still in development, wait before the game is released before judging it buddy, those are the basics and besides no game is perfect
EA has developed boxing games for decades. I remember playing Knockout Kings before it became Fight Night. So of course, FNC would be much more polished than Undisputed. Right now, FNC is better. Undisputed has a long way to go to figure out how to nail it down. If EA were to release a boxing game today, it would likely mop the floor with Undisputed. It's obvious that Martial doesn't enjoy playing Undisputed and that's just fine. 🤷🏾♂️
Undisputed will blow it out of the water ;) Just give this new development team the time to come with more updates. They have added AAA experience to their team, so they both got new ideas and experience now. A big update with career mode is due very soon! :) Don´t give up one it folks
I mean this can all be fixed in regards to undisputed and I agree with almost everything you say. They should make them move faster like how you said Leonard felt and delivered his punches in fight night, they could fix that with an update and they could also fix the power by making it more simulation where punches just mean more like in real life. Two or three straight hooks should have you wobbled, knocked down, or knocked out but this is something that can also be corrected via an update. The punches not extending and it almost feeling like they're shadow boxing can also be corrected via an update. I just hope they listen to these videos you put out and the comments left. I seriously think that they feel that if they made it truly simulation people would not like the game when it's actually the opposite of this.
punches in Undisputed at times are slow and weak because in this game the quality of punches is situational, you can't just throw fast accurate punches all the time at any moment, the fighters are not like robots in this game...u gotta have the right momentum and be in the right position to utilize quality punches, in other words u gotta know what ur doing u can't just press random buttons and do accurate punches ... it's less visually exciting than the robotic punching of FNC, but the skill tree and depth is higher and more rewarding when u do it right
undisputed because fight night champion,s punching animations kinda look cartoony but fight night round 4 was the best cus it has the most satisfying punching movement
Honestly they just needed to update fight night champion add in more features-more fighters and use a rag doll effect for the knockdowns instead of pre recorded replays, something you touched on in your previous videos. That would of been way cheaper than recreating a whole new game and also would have created a better game in the end.
for me fnc is just so much more arcadey feeling. personally for a combat game I prefer more of a sim or realism feel. although I'm defiantly not saying undisputed feels like the perfect sim boxing game at all, it can feel a bit arcadey at times. its honestly a shame we don't have more modern big title boxing games to choose from.
I always have to remember fight night is a 12 year old game the fact we are even debating which is better is actually laughable and a slap in the face too undisputed
@@HeCreative You have to remember this was one of the biggest game companies 5th installment in the franchise after they already got the formula down.
A better title would be "lets compare a finished boxing game to an unfinished early access boxing game." Not exactly a fair comparison eh? @Martial Mind
FNC punching actually look like they have impact. And also how is FNC 12 yrs old from Ps3 look and run smoother then Unsdisputed? SMH. FNC is simply the best Boxing game ever created.
It´s a small indie studio who is trying to make a realistic boxing game. Yes the game has it´s flaws but everybody seems to forget that the game is still in early access. EARLY ACCESS we are supposed to find bugs in the game to report them to the developers. And it´s not even a full price game it just costs 30 euros. They are trying their best and fixing bugs every single month. Give them a break.
Sorry but FNC is just trash. It’s the automatic block system that kills it from being a technical boxing game. It’s all about spamming the block system to “block reset” which isn’t real to the sport of boxing. The same people who feel like EA’s FNC is the best boxing game fail to understand that it was EA sports’s 5th Boxing game! Which should tell you that undisputed is steel city First boxing game and they have done MORE things in terms of getting legitimate boxer’s movements than EA did in their 5 boxing games. People gotta be eating pies in the face when Undisputed is complete..Mark my words
Fight Night Champion wins via KO! Undisputed is competing with a game that is over 10 years old, and it's still not on par. If EA actually makes another Fight Night Game, it's gonna easily dominate all competition.
If you put fight night 2004 on the new graphics engine and take off some of the goofiness like them shaking like a stripper on knockouts and tigger commentary.. that would be a realistic boxing game
I have yet to play Undisputed, but it seems balance is an issue. With Fight Night, I dislike the fact you can hold block the whole game and punch and if mastered, it because a who can counter better and 1-2 hits. I know many may disagree, but FNR3 was damn good on stamina and blocking. Biggest issue imo was the elbows and head butts.
Im not playing this game anymore online, these players all have the worst conduct ever. Spamming the same punch all the time and all that shit. Like bro let’s play a clean game.
It's embarrassing, isn't it? I was really excited for this game. I'm just glad I didn't buy it early as they seem to have made a cash grab and given up on it.
It's still in Early Access bruh. The last update to the game was literally June 8th and before that May 25th. They are still updating and tweaking the game before release
@@nunya2587 And the updates were completely irrelevant bruh. Last update was change to prize fight schedules (useless because no one plays that) and the one before was another useless update where they added some 0-0-0 pros and 1 legend (Tommy) but then gave him horrible stats and perks. Washed up excuse considering there's 1 guy on youtube making quicker progress on developing a boxing game BY HIMSELF...
@@MrCaptainTea stop embarrassing yourself, they literally released a major update on may 25th a few weeks ago,it's early access for a reason, games takes time to be made
I don’t have the nostalgia a lot of you guys have so honestly Undisputed is what I imagine as my perfect boxing game. I feel a lot more mobile than I did when I played fight night and I really enjoy the different stances we can choose from. Of course Undisputed is a little broken right now in different ways but the game is still in its infancy. Many other early access games were on steam for years so there’s definitely a bright future for the finished product.
The game is miles from being perfect and needs a ton of work. If the dev team is willing to put in the work though it has all the potential in the world to be amazing
@@superweedenjoyer I agree. They still have a long road before their console release and I hope other people realize this. To someone who isn’t familiar with Steam’s early access a few months is a long time. But it’s really not. I started playing Session when they were on Early Access and apparently they were on Early Access a year before that.
Imo I like undisputed better. Dont get me wrong I love fnc also but the defense system in undisputed is the game changer for me. You can’t go up against ppl that hold block and never hit them. Level changing is amazing in undisputed plus the more modern roster.
Undisputed has a lack of theatricality, which is definitely intentional but perhaps harmful to the overall package in terms of mainstream appeal. But it is sort of poetic that because the game is so sim focused, it has inherited the same issues as real boxing. Which is the fact that the vast majority of casual fans find most boxing matches boring, and will only tune in for the biggest fights. Also, I'm not using casual as a pejorative, just demonstrating a point. It clicked for me when you said the game just feels "tedious," boxing is tedious. But that makes it all the more rewarding (damage from counters is still way too low though) when you land punches because you have to work hard for it. I think Undisputed at its best captures this better than any other boxing game. Although due to exploits and a largely dishonorable player-base Undisputed tends to be at its worst more times than not.
I agree with most of what you said but the thing is that it's not simulation at all, they have to speed the game up, like he says punches need to fully extend and not feel like you're shadow boxing, when you're throwing a five punch combo the last one or two punches shouldn't come out in a matrix style slow motion, you can make the last punches less damaging but stop the unrealistic slowing down of the punches. Undisputed needs to make it where if you have two or three back to back hooks landed on you depending on the boxer being used you should be dazed, knocked down, or knocked out. I truly feel they're afraid to make it truly sim because they feel people wouldn't like it like that when it's the complete opposite. The good thing is that all of this can be corrected via updates, but let's see if they'll do it.
@@Poteluz Well put. This game is FAR from perfect or complete. As far as the shadow boxing thing is concerned, it irked me a little when Martial was saying that. Because the game wants you to literally step forward if you want extension on punches. But Martial was just planted and throwing, So I think the criticism is a bit unfair. Regardless the punches still need work.
@@TheBamLegion another thing I feel it needs to open up a window of vulnerability is parrying, when you can read them and perfectly time a specific punch and it gives you that window to counter them if you guessed and timed their pattern right. That would be a game changer.
But I would argue it’s not sim focused at all. Boxer’s movements in undisputed and punching speed, power, camera work, etc. NOTHING seems “sim” to me at all. The term “sim” was a cool catchphrase to grab attention but it never grabbed mine. I just wanted them to make a good video game. Unfortunately, we aren’t there yet. The boxers are literally incapable of moving and punching as fast as real life counterparts. In fact, the boxers in fight night actually move more realistically. This game needs a TON of work to become a good game but we can forget about “sim”. They’ve been so focused on an overrated catchphrase, they forgot how to just make a fun video game. 🤦♂️
@@thatsamazin- Trying to argue that it's not sim focused is just odd considering that's the mission statement for the project. Whether or not you think it lives up to that is up to you, but it is focused on it. I agree that it has a lot more work to do in basically every area to achieve a more realistic look and feel. But the fact that you keep pinpointing the movement is nutty to me. That's objectively the one thing that Undisputed has over Fight Night in terms of realism. In Fight Night the boxers glide around like they're fighting on ice whilst in Undisputed their feet are planted and are meticulously motion captured. All you have to do is compare Fight Night Ali to Undisputed Ali.
