@@brutalikhzan5627think it depends how you play to be honest. I’m usually Ali vs Frazier and my fights have been pretty fluid. Most people assume the fights were real video footage when they’ve seen my screen at first glance whenever I was playing. Been a while since I played champion but whilst it was definitely faster I remember it feeling more arcadey. It played more like the Rocky games. Also round 4 was 1080p on ps3 whilst champion was 720p. I only wish I downloaded the additional fighters before EA closed their servers and stopped the ability to buy the fighter packs from the psn store. I mostly play Ali vs Frazier or Foreman but would of loved to of done Ali vs Liston and Holyfield vs Tyson. I think round 4 was the best fighting game they ever made.
Champion, but they play extremely different from another. Champion feels like Round 4, and Round 3 feels reminiscent of Round 2 with updated visuals and slower fighting.
Which you think was better Round 4 or Champion? The collision detection was so good on these games seeing their cheeks flap and whatnot. UFC 3 is OK but UFC 4 is straight trash
I have so many great memories playing Fight Night 4, it was actually one of the reasons I picked up fitness. I remember thinking "wait..why am I sitting here training my boxer but I'm not doing it in real life?" lol. I enjoy both honestly but I've been playing Champion more because it's on the current Xbox.
Round 4 was buttery smooth 60fps. Really the only thing that bothers me is that champion targets 30fps instead, but Champion is still the goat to me. The story mode makes you wonder why we never had something like it sooner in the series.
Round 4 was better. Champion was buggy with a broken block system, forced misses, broken stamina, terrible footwork, and the online appealed to sidestep uppercut spammers, backstep straight spam and runners. Round 4 felt like you were boxing.
This x 100. FN4 was the last great combat sports game that provided an excellent competitive platform with counters to multiple strategies and real life approaches being effective. Champion was left as a competitive mess being very exploitable, unbalanced, and unrealistic. It also had far more performance issues with frame drops and improper command reads such as the constant weaving when you didn’t push anything.
I loved the way to throw Haymakers From Fight Night 2-4. Then champions made the power alternator button. Which was fine, but the older way I thought was better
Fight night round 4, even though round 3 is my favorite, round 4 has the best career mode, and the fighting is so smooth and fluid. Champion is fantastic, though the thing that bugs me about it is the repetitive blocking. I have more fun playing it with my dad than I do against the cpu
Bro what did 4 career mode have that was better than champion ? For the longest I felt champion had the best career mode due to being able to get injured and all the other little details like being too old and your body breaking down
Lol if u button mash in champion it's cus u suck. Coming from ufc and playing rouhd 2-4 I liked it and the stick is fine for once ur adjusted... But the button controls and stick together are so much better depending on what combo u want. If u button mash in a Fighting game, there's something called mortal combat 🤷🏻♂️ end that's not button mashinng when u see good people play play and know the combos. But for sure fight night champion isn't a button masher 🤣🤣 if u know how to use both.....
7:06-7:45 That Stamina Regen....... Exactly why Champion is for Haymaker button spammers. After the Patch it went straight into the Garbage Can. Round 4 Takes Skill with Counters, Blocks, Openings and Leans to reward you. Champion is the Casuals Game, while Round 4 is more for a Boxing Purist.
Exactly, Champion feels off. It's basically, punch, spam block, punch, spam block etc. Not need to lean or dodge because the meta is just block all the time and punch when you can. The block stamina in 4 made sure to avoid people spamming
Great video bro!!! I personally like Champion better, but 4 I like the defense way better and I like the fact it has a way better soundtrack and it got the Staples Center (my dream place to fight at as a pro). I love the fact 4 has the mini game in between corners, that’s where champion lacks, because it’s almost impossible to get your stamina back Overall I say Champion is the more polished and clean game, but I think 4 is better when it comes to small details
I just preferred 4 over champion for the fact that blocking has to be used strategically instead of spamming. Blocking in Champion reminds me of Riot shield in COD lol
The thing I like most about FNC is that they did in-fighting so well. It didn't feel like there was an invisible force field between your two fighters.
played FNR4 demo while drinking with friends and got the game instantly when it came out, when i tested fight night champion it felt like a cheaper version of FNR4 so i didn't even buy it
FNC suffered big time on collision/hit detection... Sometimes (especially when Im loosing and need them to connect) my punches would go straight through my opponent 😡😡. If it wasn't for that no doubt I'd prefer Champion over 4. But as a result I'd have to give first place to round 4... I get pissed every time I play champion on a high difficulty because thats when it seems to happen the most.. Btw I have the Ps3 version.
For clarification, (because the internet). The difficulty was lowered, and stamina thresholds were increased in order to showcase the animations thoroughly. So the comparisons can be made between which one looks more cartoony/real. Figure it would be obvious to see with continuous punches being unblocked. Thanks for watching yall!
The Fight Night Champ graphics are way better, taking in count that Round 4 is from 2009. I love both, but if I have to pick one... is going to be FN Champion
The stamina system in champion is garbage I got people throwing 521 punches at me and losing no stamina but me just countering I’m losing more than them Ea pisses me off
Never owned or played round 4 but after going back to champion and realizing how fast the punching is and much it just feels like a counterpunch first to get tired game bothered me now seeing round 4 I’m ready to get back into boxing games got my ps3 ready! Thanks for the video man! Keep it up
I currently have fight night round 4 but it’s hard to get a knockout. I played fight night champion and I was able to get a knockout multiple times than fight night round 4. I really like both games but everyone has a preference.
fight night champions is one of the best graphically looking games especially when you keep in mind it was made in 2011. imo it looks better than the current ufc games thats why this game needs a remaster, new game or a release on the newer gen consoles
The games aesthetic is amazing, and it sucks to see games like UFC get boxers when we want a boxing game. A remaster would be dope, but it's backwards compatible. EA couldn't renew everyone's license either, so they would have to draw up new contracts and such. They are too greedy for that
Fight night round 4 is 60fps and that makes all the difference in the world. Own both but I found champion an unplayable arcade button mash with zero footwork or boxer control
Champion does feel weird. I think alot of the people who prefer Champion, haven't really went back and played the other Fight Nights. Round 4 was all around a jack of all trades. Champion watered down the strategy for the sake of trying to shoe horn Fight Night into EA's portfolio of yearly updated sports games.
@@IVSAKENSOUL they were going to there was an article about them doing so and then it never happened! I'm genuinely debating whether to buy an xbox 360 just so I can buy and play FNR4. I know the esports boxing club is coming but I'm not sure that will be as fun as round 4 tbh... they seem to be making games so realistic and complicated I kind of prefer the older games
@@rawgoldgaming loving it tbh. Started a career with a made up fighter. Proper fun and yes love how strategic it is. It also looks very good on my 65 inch Sony LED too
Fight Night Round 4 was way better Fight Night Champion was too easy even on goat level (just tire your opponent out lol).Fight Night Round 4 was the best with graphics and realism as well.
FNR4 is the best boxing game ever made. FN Champion was made more accessible for the casuals and that ruined it for me : auto blocking, fast weightless punches, no corner mini game etc. Just feels like a rock em sock em robots button masher. It had better graphics though.
Ups of FNC - Fast paced, fluid and fun gameplay - Great roster - Story Mode, Prison, Bare Knuckle Mode Downs of FNC - Game feels rockem sockem sometimes, and its a bit arcadey - No seperate block system - All american shorts are not available to CAFs Ups of FNR4 - More balanced gameplay - Has Arturo Gatti, Erik Morales, M.A. Barrera and James Toney, which FNC doesnt have - Has All American shorts available for CAFs Downs of FNR4 - Game feels slow and boring sometimes - HW Roster not as big as FNC - Doesnt have tattoo option for CAFs
Playing FNC rn online it’s super ass lol record is 166-87 wins but honestly I should have more wins at least 230+ everyone quits after you get passed the ridiculous jab /power punch spam . Then on top of that the game rewards idiotic spamming over actual boxing ! Normally I’m the more accurate fighter by 10% and I still lose the rounds because I’m not spamming haymakers 🤦🏾♂️literally I’m actually boxing and yet the game rewards the opponent because he spammed me forcing me to win most my matches by late game knockouts lmao. Also I know it’s a glitch or something these people do because for some odd reason face scans take unlimited damage and can drop your ass off with one punch so I avoid thoose all together 🤦🏾♂️i only play champion cuz I love boxing but I can’t do online anymore it’s awful
Bro your just a Lil trash if you can't beat these spammers no offense, there is always a way to counter it but you gotta practice, avoid the haymakers let them tire out don't just leave because you think everyone is a spammer. Next thing you know your leaving every game you lose, unfair.
both great games but I definitely will choose 4 over Champion I might have to pull the 360 out just to buy 4 and play it again that is if the 360 still even work lol
I can't really decide. The thing is that.. both games don't represent the sport very good. FNR4 - has high, low block - the character moves better, in FNC it seems like it has delay. But... you can hit your oponnent a lot in the head and it almost has no damage Working the body doesn't seem to do much, they implemented that sistem in FNC, where it does drain the oponent stamina. I know it does drain a little but it s to innefective. If you are an outside fighter, counter puncher... it somehow drains your stamina more than your oponnent. Counter punching window is a joke which I think in online it would be a mess.. same with the side stepping in FNC Punches are slow and stiff, the power punches are like from a different game because they look sooooo arcady :)))) Flash ko's are veeeeryyy rare, a lot of times I hit my oponent in the head and it should be a flash ko in reality buuut... nope, not in this game FNC on the other hand... has more flash ko's, you can take advantage of counter punching, punching the body and it s also faster and the animations don't feel so... kinda broken or stiff. But it's too brutal to represent the reality also. Also it is easier to spam in FNC If they would put the high/low block, character movement, it would be the best. And also.. the moving from side to side could be spammed pretty easily... For me it would be FNC because how I play it's kinds more representative in FNC, I play outside with counter punches. I tried to play the same in FNR4 a lot of times but.. it doesn't really work, the counter window makes it horrible... a jab in the block gives the oportunity for my oponent to have that 2 3 seconds counter punch :)))) Forgot to mention that the bots in FNC are spamming a lot the body which again is... bad
Pra mim o melhor fight night e o 4 ate msm pelos movimentos de lutas reais e etc... porém o fight night champion nao deixa a desejar tambem é um bom game. Mas o meu favorito sempre ,SEMPRE! vai ser o fight night 4 ♡
I like Round 4 more, it looks more like a professional fight, the complexity of the AI is much higher, it's more interesting to use the block, but of course the champion is also good
@Colton Garrett Round 2 is dope, but I have a love/hate relationship with the Haymaker mechanics. I get the idea, but sometimes you just want to throw a barrage of punches lol. Round 2 is definitely top 5 tho
Between the two, I like the animations on FNC better, but the auto blocking is annoying. FNR4, feels more like you're boxing. I wish they would just combine both and make a damn Round 5 or Champion 2
@@IVSAKENSOUL yes animation of FNC was amazing but the gameplay was doo doo online especially FNR4 online play an good even when it came to creating your own player an fighting everyone was even better they should have combined the 2 game for a 5 fnc got cheesy an trash
El 4 es una mierda, tiene mas arcade que realista, en el fng 3 si se sienten fuerte los golpes, y aca se siente como el street figther nada que ver con la joya de la ps3
HELP ME PLEASE. Today i played again Champion after 8 years, and im very fustrated cause there is no cuts and blood. Maybe the whole face damage system is missing. What happened? Is there any solution? I maxed out the boxer power and the damage sliders but it does not work. Help me please, im so disappointed. ( Game data and patch delete doesnt solve it)
