Bro. They fought in a phone booth the entire time, the movement was crisp and the counterpunching was superb. This is one the finest matches in the sport
@@allanochoa4826 yeah bro this ggg vs canelo fight was like God vs God but I know canelo won but it was from a decision not a knockout. Imagine these 2 only choice by winning would be who’s ever gets knocks out? Lmao that shit would be more than 12 rounds
Still come back to watch this every year.... Two warriors, centre of the ring, no ducking, toe to toe, no holding or clinching ..Boxing has never come this good...Mad respect 🙌🏿🙌🏿
ggg a gentleman bro... I respect him.. Canelo a class fighter too.. they don't be trash talking as some of the crazy stupid fighters out there. These guys are truly Class fighters.
4:37 It's funny how Canelo goes on an amazing spree of head movement but the announcers are saying "tHaT MiGht'Ve sHoOk CaNeLo" "CaNeLo hAs HiS HaNds DoWn!" 😂
You are spot on, my friend. I do feel that Triple GGG was robbed in the first fight but it is what it is. Also, both of these guys have granite chins, the punches they took from each other were lethal.
Triple G won the first, second was a draw at best. Unfortunately for Triple G, Canelo being the cash cow gives him advantages on the business side of things
holy shit. WHAT a fight. so many highlights. Both champions like wtf, they standed still after all these rocking. Everyone who fights knows how exhausting is fighting, these guys are elite boxers
@@forhealth5730 Not a landslide. 7-5 GGG. 2nd was 7-5 canelo. GGG was allowing himself to get backed up. The judges saw the clear difference in tactics in the 2nd. Canelo owned the center ring.
@@thediaz07 everybody said he lost. It was clear he lost. Canelo started well. And was pushed back and totally out worked by ggg. The second fight was more of a draw
High key that’s what I tell people. Canelo caught both of them at older age. Had triple g been a few years younger I have no doubt in my mind he would of knocked canelo out. Both great fighters and a classic fight for sure.
@@TKO-1503 GGG became “old” as soon as he started to fight elite fighters like Jacobs. Canelo got GGG at the perfect age with good elite experience. Whether GGG was at the age of 25 or 30, he would not KO Canelo, as his chin is too strong.
@@a.h.543 bro triple g was thirty five he was on a decline, same as Floyd. They’ve been boxing for years 35 is not your prime and experience or not he was still declining. Canelo is a great fighter but let’s be real triple g won the first fight he got robbed.
my thoughts exactly.....GGG won the first time and you can argue he won the second time as well. Mayweather was in his mid 30s at the time he fought Canelo....so the fact Canelo is dominating like this now speaks volumes to the greatness of GGG and Mayweather...
In this fight , Canelo had overcome his fear of Golovkin. He matched him toe to toe and punched back hard as he got. Golovkin's face was evidence that no other boxer had hurt him like Canelo.
Both are seemingly indestructible for real. Both of them have borderline great power and they both ate so many bombs from eachother over those two fights.
Triple G looked simply much more talented. Much much more. The pure TALENT against money-making machine. Unfortunately the business won. Just business, nothing personal. Sad but True
Damn, I've watched a lot of boxing. It is rare to see a match where two guys just make an honest slug fest out of 12 rounds like this. Almost like watching a movie boxing match, just clean hits all the time. Amazing they were both able to keep it going that long.
I hate that your comments largely telling you to watch other fights which has 0 to do with what you said....Yes I agree with you. This type of match is rare. I'm more amazed by GGG because it looks like he took HARD shots...Canelo looks like the bigger stronger fighter...GGG has a similar style to Anthony Joshua where they both save the rear hand for parrying- and get the opponent comfortable to not seeing it and then they time a big shot with the rear hand....If he had let the rear hand go as often as Canelo did it would look like a different fight but they have different styles so its easier said than done...But it definitely limited him the way the style has been limiting joshua
3:09 a thing of beauty from Canelo. One two punch combination, slips the counter and good footwork to pivot as GGG pivots also to position himself for a right hook. This is what I think of when someone refers to fighting as “dancing” “lets dance” when you look at their movements all together. Excellent fight from two gentlemen who can box/fight their asses off.
@@alexdemidoff8014 clearly can see that you are just a Canelo hater lol, Canelo did win this second fight, Ggg is a Beast and he fought like a champ, but he didn't win the second fight. This is the fact.
@@Eldron2027 silly hater you talking like a keyboard warrior im just stating real.. You just talking and want to argue go take a lap you sad ass 😅 my first and lastmessage to you random ass message
Por dios que espectáculo dan estos campeones.. para mi los dos son ganadores....estan en un nivel tan difícil de llegar desde lo físico hasta la concentración es de alto nivel
“Canelo is the come forward fighter tonight, that’s an odd tactic for a counter puncher but he’s making it work” -Jim Lampley GGG helped Canelo find his current style.
@@Aldine281 GGG outlanded him in jabs but Canelo outlanded him in power punches. Meanwhile not only was GGG not dedicated to his power punches the way he normally does, he wasn't even sitting on his jab like usual. A lot of his jabs were just pawing and pushing arm punches. A lot of grazing shots too. On the other hand, Canelo was digging with his punches.
GGG won the first fight without doubt in my mind. Watched this fight about 5 times now and really think he won this 1 aswell. Close fight both fighters absolute animals but GGG was robbed
ГГГ выбил хороший гонорар, вследствие чего были моменты где ГГГ не добивал Канело, была какая то постанова. В третьем бою Гена вырубит его вот увидите!
Hey man I've watched this fight 7 times and I think it was a draw at least but GGG I think edged it out for me they robbed him because they could of gave him a draw or the win
That 12 round was the closest thing we’ll ever get to a movie type fight in real life. The movement, the intensity, the absolute quality and experience, the punches, misses and drama. It was the single best round of boxing of the decade.
GGG, the only man that can go toe to toe with Canelo. Canelo, the only man that can go toe to toe with GGG. HANDS DOWN ONE THE BEST FIGHTERS IN THEIR WEIGHT DIVISION.I still think they both equal even if GGG lost..
And even though Canelo won they are still even. If the competition was based on who looked like they still had the most energy GGG won but apart from that wow!
@@210YungJE210 if Canelo stacked his pads GGG woulda been asleep also wtf does Canelo eating those hard punches have to do with stacked pads or Steroids u goofy
@@epad3795 your a goofy GGG just gots a chin ate every hit canelo threw GGG rocked him a couple times go do your research kid there's vids of him stacking his pads GOOFY
@@210YungJE210 If GGG rocked Canelo a few times how come he couldn’t knock him down?😂 stfu goofy stay mad your GGG is washed up while Canelos undisputed and the face of boxing go cry more about “stacking pads”
The 2 best boxers of the last 20 years. Most entertaining too. These guys are Real boxers, Real fighters. Skilled, quick, disciplined & powerful. Triple G is a better technical boxer and has more stamina, I think he won here and will win the rematch. The heavyweight division has sucked since Holyfield. Pacquiao was best in the smaller divisions.
@@Carfan411 you sound very dumb, first of all flowyd never gets that close to even produce that kind of head movement, the only thing floyd does is run away shoulder roll. No weaving in ducking or anything.
@Kenny where TF did you come from. I never said anything about besting my favorite middleweight fighter. Never said anything ill towards him so I don't know why you would make such a comment towards me. I'm 5'11" weigh 195 lbs ripped at age 55. When I went into hand to hand combat it was win or don't go home. No in-betweens. Served 2 tours. The difference between me and GGG is that he fought for money. I did it for the glory and country. He was KO ing his opponents, mine were body bagged.
Canelo excellent, but lost this and first fight. #2 close. GGG had the opportunity to retire or have one more big fight and be GOAT material. Judges screwed his legacy. GGG is just betterer
Even if Canelo did enough to win this fight, it was still a really close match. I think Golovkin should get as much praise as Canelo did. Good job to both living legends.
Uma das lutas maia difíceis para ambos... foi uma excelente luta. Canelo foi bem até cansar lá pelo 9° round; dali o GGG começou a crescer na luta, perigosamente, para o o Canelo. Show de luta!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Achei q o GGG mereceu mais,Canelo foi muito bom tbm, mais ate onde vi o G conseguiu encaixar mais golpes e se defender melhor, embora o Canelo aplicou alguns tbm ótima luta
@@bobongpinoyslayer2456you are joking right? I mean every fight of the 4 are classics. If you don’t find them fun fights then you are not a fan of boxing.
This was the fight which was the absolute pinnacle of an entire generation of World class, elite level skill. These kinds fights only come around once every decade or so. The Ali/Foreman kind of fight, The Leonard/Hearns kind of fight, The box office smashes, The two very best boxers in the world going at it. Perfection for a fight fan.
Damn shame they did Golovkin a dirty in the first one. He didn't deserve that L on his record. This one was closer, I suppose GG was nearly forty years old at this point.
Ggg never went to the body in both those fights the first one was a draw for me Canelo was just making him miss the 2nd fight Canelo brought the fight to triple G and I had Canelo winning by 2 rounds at most 1 round Legendary fight for both of them
@@spenser6353 Yes, I agree, but Canelo will not fight. Says a lot about him. This is why boxing loses so many fans. Right now boxing federation is catering to the Mexican base. Really wish they would be fair all fans. They should require Canelo fight Triple G, he’s such an awesome fighter.
To be clear, I’m Mexican, wishing the federation would not favor one fighter over the other, they should just let the fighters settle it in the ring. This didn’t happen with the Triple G and Canelo fight.
One of my favorite fights ever, 2 monsters battling out, you never see either of them run around, both of them fighting for control. Dodging and countering. Taking hits and giving them back. Just amazing. Canelos opponents nowadays all strategize their fights over distance, GGG fought him 1v1 and it’s just a beauty of a fight. Mexican style.
wooo dont me bro ,😱 haha we aint blind i know that canelo is a great fighter but it is verry clear that ggg won the first dight canelo was outclass in that fight bro evn though his dodging but most of the time gg hits him clearly most specialy with his jobs..watch the replay bro cause u might drunk during that time hahaha and please explain the score cards that insane judge gave infavor of canelo hahaha that even the live comentator was shock ...promise bro canelo was being outcalss that time its a fare opinion even the experts siad that ...and listen to the ones who is at the ring side im talking about those live comentators that it is good if a fighter is fighting backward if he really dictates the finght but it is verry clear that canelo was being pushed back by ggg im a fun of both but the reality showed ggg was robbed during that time watch the reply it verry clear who won that fight...
@Jose Mosqueda hahah as if u know something we aint blind bro...and the replay wont deny it only shows what really happen and we aint crazzy as u im xure u aint blind but why u act like one hahaha and if u really know about boxing please explain the score that 1 idoit judge gave infavor of canelo it was so 1sided bro that even the live comentator said that it was a crazy scoring even if the fight was that close..dont act like u know bettter if u only believe whats in ur empty brain told u and not what was really happening in the real world..theres no hate in here bro we are only saying what really happen we both recognize the greatness of both athlete but it so sad to think that because canelo is considered as A side thats why he was infavor even if ggg dominated him the first time
This reminds me of Kyoya vs Ryuga when they met at the 2nd semi-final of Battle Bladers man. Similar to how every attack had the force of a special move behind it, every clean shot here had the power of a knockout behind it too. Fucking epic.
What's a casual fans don't know is that Triple G has been fighting at the division for 10 plus years it was only the second fight that Canelo fought at 160 with this guy. I always give credit when credit is due and Canelo just seems like he is growing at a faster rate than Triple G was and we'll ever grow
But I do consider him old too just fans always switch their opinions like when Floyd fought canelo they said Floyd was too experienced (he was 37)and canelo was a baby at 23 and 42 n 0 record.feel me?but yeah ggg old at 35 however the miles on ur body is what matters most to determine old or young..i once seen a dude 29 n he had no legs (willie Gibbs)due to too many gym wars etc
What a legendary fight.Despite of result this is one of the greatest fight I have ever seen.GOAT against GOAT. That punches can knock out everyone.First one won GGG without doubt. And second one is I think was draw maybe GGG won.
