He was just breaking him down as Yarde was very closed off early, with little bursts similar to Inoue Butler. All a matter of time.

Beterbiev might be physically very strong but he is 1000x more mentally strong. He is always affirming, even through the hard times, even when he got rocked by Callum Johnson, he was affirming, he has mastered his mind

5-2 Beterbiev, Yarde worked really well in the first two rounds, but after the third, the Russian dominated all the fight. And the commentary was ridiculous, Yarde receiving a flory of punches and the commentators saying they're "exchanging punches" with "both boxers lading good shots" I cracked up listening to this. I'll not even talk about the judges, it's England folks, robbery is the rule.

The bias against the Russian was unreal. Yarde loses his mouth piece twice, headbutts on the eye round 5 and 6. Nothing. Beterbiev doing what he usually does, break opponents down. He saw Yarde wasn't opening up so, switched tactics baiting him in for overhand.

Yarde is a good fighter and can take a punch. But Artur is a hunter. Once he has worked out the strengths and weaknesses of his opponent, he comes in for the kill.

Such a great fight to watch ! Last minutes of round 5 and 7 were so enjoyable, absolute slugfest, both displayed great mental strength there ! I like both fighters but always rooted for beterbiev. I'm glad he won and I also think that this loss for Yarde is 10x more honorable than his past victories, he put up a great performance

In what universe was Artur behind after six rounds?! Preposterous.

Commentary was really biased towards Artur, the guys gone to the 12th round before and still knocked his opponent out, that's not just heart, it's skill, precision and conditioning, Beterbiev showed he was better in every department in this fight.

not a close fight, but Betrbiev winning 5-1 with 1 round drawn before the final round. Was clear early on that Yarde would not be able to cope with Beterbiev's work rate, style, pressure and heavy hands. Yarde did well to take so many heavy shots...but Beterbiev was in control and doing the most damage from the beginning. Commentators and judges were delusional or worse.

Beterbiew is so technical...looking for the best timing to throw the leathal punch...a thinking boxer...an intellectual

The eastern style of boxing, more specifically, the russian, is extremely efficient. They make only the necessary movements. No extras. From footwork to head movement. They're usually where they're supposed to be. And timing is king, and placement proceeds timing. Reminds of Pirog. Damn shame his career was cut short!

Beterbiev absolutely showed is glass and granite body. Yes Yarde put in a great performance but there is no bloody way that he was ahead in any way. Yarde's trainer did a wonderful thing by stopping the fight, Yarde was not answering the refs instructions, honestly I don't know how he let him continue? But yea the trainer loves his fighter as there was some serious damage coming Yarde's way. Great stoppage by Beterbiev, he has to be top 5 pvp!!

The commentary wasn’t very neutral, in round 7 they were calling Yarde had weathered the storm, and the tide had turned. Beterbiev looked stronger, Yarde was out on his feet. Beterbiev’s punches were more effective. Preferred the American commentary. However great fight, Yarde was tremendous, showed a lot of courage.

After watching Beterbiev dismantling Callum Smith, Yarde deserved more credit than he was given. He gave him a good fight although ahead of score card was obviously an attempted robbery by judges.
