Fight Song | Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters | By Rachel Platten 

January 25th I will turn 20 years old, but more importantly I'll be 15 years in remission from childhood ALL. I was saved by the knowledge and the heart of the doctor's and nurses that helped heal me. I don't what your religion is, but I believe God has a plan for me and he's recently started pointing me towards nursing school. I believe he wants me to give back to those who have to me by passing it on. I wanna hopefully work in a pediatric oncology department when I finish. I've always loved the Latin phrase "Sic Alius May Ago", So Others May Live. I wanna give them the hope in such a horrible situation that you can make it out. You can achieve the dreams you have always wanted to get to! Thank you so much to all the nurses and doctors in the Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at Norfolk CHKD!!

My daughters were in this and it melts my heart every time I see it. We are so blessed to have CHKD right here locally.

I could never work at a children's hospital i'd spend more time moping the floor from me crying so much. Such heart breaking watching this

That was awesome. I am 43 now, still fighting severe fistulating Crohn's snice age 9. Back in the 90s I was a patient at King's Daughters in my teens. I am still fighting. Anyways King's Daughters and the specialists there saved my life at 19. Keep up the fight everyone of you.

I became a patient at CHKD when I was three years old in 1996. I went there many times over the years. CHKD also saved my best friend’s life when she was 8.

At the start I felt sorry for the kids that are sick and all those people too! But at lest they are ok and like singing and dancing to the and I liked the bit when they weren't sad at all!!😊

Nobody should feel sad because we are all fighters and we will never stop fighting I’m at 3:14 holding the O me looking back shows all the progress I did in these past years and I’m a fighter and I will never stop fighting

I will always have my children affiliated with CHKD!!! From my oldest who is 9 to my preemie 2 1/2 year olds. CHKD cares about my kids and their health just as much as I do.

The great thing about having my friend having cancer or not having cancer is the best thing in the world that anybody would never have I my name is Caitlin Mary okay so my friend has cancer but all of it is is of my best friend can give truly she will never give up cuz I never will if I stay strong stay strong if I talk to Terry about staying strong he will never let me cry but most importantly I never will forget the first time I've told people that but knowing that the fact that and her I hope her and she helps me is the best thing about it all is he's got a bunch of personal tattoos. Who else went here? I SURE DID! I went their because I had fallen out of they tree, broke my head or i dont know how to describe it, I was picked up by a airplane from Sanford (elementary school in Newport News) They said I was gonna be alright! They were so nice so fun, I stayed there for 2 weeks! OH I GOT A CONCUSSION I remember! They make sure I was not asleep 24/7 cause I was on the edge of dying, I loved the food the waffles MMMMM! Then this year I went there for cutting my wrist and thoughts of killing myself, but I went home with a safety plan! Don't be scared of them they are amazingly talented!
