Massy movies are not Rick's cup of tea but he likes salaar. 😂. He knows from which region viewers are coming and he knows what to say to attract audience. Double standard. Korbin's review is absolutely amazing..

Open your mind, people know what we should expect feom Salaar since the announcement which is pakka commercial action where as the fighter requires topgun stuff or sincere millitary showcase where as this got beach songs, dance and more unrealistic drama. So, accept it and move on.

Yep, there's indeed not a single redeeming grace in this movie. Every scene is a cringe forceful show of emotions n "patriotism". So many people are sooo naive to not see how the director is shamelessly exploiting their emotions. The dialogue is horrible, disgustingly loud and infantile. Editing n screenplay are atrocious. This is going to be one of those movie that will age horribly

@@quesyghi It is okay if you dont agree. Thinking they are biased is bad, they have crictized even so many star heroes movies of telugu whether is chiranjeevi or pavan Kalyan or others. Even I am telugu guy, I say tamil and malayalam are far better in novelty and I prefer their movies over telugu on a larger basis. Personally I did not like pathan and jawan is ok for me as it is made on south movie template although both were big hits. My favourite movies are ‘kho gaye hum kahan’ , ‘12th fail’ and Banda (manoj bajpayee). So, I did not like fighter so accept people opinions. Several times I felt how did Rick did not like the movie especillay telugu which I loved but I am ok beacuse their view and perspective is different. So, I think you are making comments with your presumptions I think.

@Filmsandmore-qy5lj I feel the day our audience starts respecting superlative cinema of their own country instead of going gaga over crass commercial fare, whilst constantly hailing Hollywood and foreign cinema as the ultimate, the benchmark, the end-all-be-all of filmmaking craft/artistry, it would be something to feel proud of. The day they start encouraging cinematic artistry of innovative Indian filmmakers instead of dismissing it as probably being copied from foreign cinema without even watching it, the entire world will look at Indian Cinema in an entirely different light than it is looking now. Not saying that Hollywood movies can't be benchmarks but just that it irks me that Indians put them on such a high pedestal that Indian movies will need a million years to match up to. There are very few genuine cinephiles on RU-vid that can recommend foreign reactors with superlative, content-driven cinema from India, especially Hindi Films, as most of the audience is, sadly, ignorant about avant-garde movies in the country. In this regard, @GSS77712 is one such person whose RU-vid comments I enjoy reading on different movie-related channels.

@Filmsandmore-qy5lj The day our audience starts understanding, ,accepting, respecting, and promoting superlative cinema of their country instead of crass commercial, masala fare, whilst constantly ignoring great projects from innovative Indian filmmakers and dismissing them as being copied from Hollywood and other foreign cinema without even watching it, is a day I would feel our audience has finally matured and come out of colonial mentality of keeping Hollywood movies on a pedestal that Indian Cinema will take a million years to match up to. I'm not saying that Hollywood movies shouldn't be watched but constantly projecting anything from Hollywood/foreign movies as the ultimate, the benchmark, the end-all be-all, etc. is something that irks me a lot. I would also request readers to suggest superlative, productive content, especially from Hindi Movies, to not only these foreign reactors but to the general Indian audience so that they can see what they are missing out on.

@@adiddevil Well, this movie is a tribute to the Indian Air Force. Yes, it follows the age-old tried-and-tested template. But, the difference is, it doesn't stop there. It goes on into a fictional line of narrative and goes on to say the aftermath of an attack. Something, that no other Bollywood or Hollywood movie has ever done in an Aerial Action flick. This is purely a tribute movie to the IAF. And, if you're not moved by the hardships faced by the military during a war, then probably this is not a movie for you. Maybe, you should stick to watching shit movies like Gadar, Gadar 2, PRDP, ATHWS, K3G, etc. Fighter does have heavy emotional moments that IT SHOULD HAVE, and most of all, the emotions are not overdone. The movie is meant to be watched by humans, not robots.

Why don't good cinematic movies with a wholesome script appeal to the masses? That's the question we need to answer. Let's look at the Malayalam film industry for example. The masses in Kerala demand for movies that are relatable and realistic. That's what the mass wants there. Unlike the rest of the country, genuinely beautiful movies without a "hero" sells too. Kerala has proven that to us. Now it's up to the rest of the country to follow suit and make this the norm for movie demands.
