🤣Holy sh*t, that's so funny & entertaining, can't get enough.🤣 Really like that lively style in manner of English soccer reporter. Thank You so much - it did not only "make my day" but "made my weekend"; and I'm pretty sure the mood will even last along the week ! 😄 Together with pilot Hauptmann "Noble" you form kind of truly European "dream team"; very inspiring and role model way beyond (military) aviation only. Gents, keep that style, please! We need more of this to attract younger generations to go for the challenging technical disciplines (again) as well as living a truly European spirit: focussing on common roots and taking those slight differences as spices while "teasing" each other time to time. Our friends across the pond to the West are also very happy to have such strong partners in the alliance. There's YT video "The Greatest Bomber Planes of The 20th Century (Spark)" where No 7 of the top-ten list is Typhoon predecessor Tornado (quite windy over the North Sea, isn't it?). Properties are nicely described as: "The style of an Italian sportscar, the no nonsense approach of German Engineering, and the daring dude appeal of the British." That's how to form strong team across companies (and there's technical expertise across all for sure). So we'd need some Italian guy in here (though "Noble" could be perceived Italian when wearing sun-glasses like in the interview from this year's ZigAirMeet 2023 😉). Too bad that our countries haven't been able to team up for next Gen fighter planes again. Totally p*'d off this childish sandbox games and sleeping pill attitude of bureaucrats rather than forming a real strong European vision urgently needed these days ... Back to the video: Was also slightly amused about flight details when going from Abu Dhabi to Singapore - flight duration 8h30, i.e. quite "civil" speed. My boss boss would challenge "can't we do that faster?" here (and I would do, too). Ok ok, going super-sonic over the Indian Ocean might neither be very stunning nor fuel efficient (for sure). So better use opportunity to do some refueling exercises instead. Btw, have you already been able to do that in fully automated way then? To my knowledge, Singapore Air Force (with their F-15SG eagles and F-16 Vipers) together with Airbus teamed up and got it NATO certified for the A-330 tanker version to go for that. I'm travelling that route frequently (though not take-off from Neuburg Airbase but "close-by", and stop-over Doha; and well, Changi airport versus Paya Lebar airbase - all in neighbourhood on global scale anyway), thus I'm familiar with flight time and also the challenges being squeezed in for hours (economy class; depending on airline - that one with home-base Doha being a more convenient one). There's service on board, of course. However, for flight entertainment, I prefer the windows and in-flight maps, especially when going over continents. Had very interesting route spring this year from MUC to DOH due to some airspace closure - could have served as lessons of politics of 19th and 20th century till now ... Best regards & sincerely Yours
