Me too, for the first time ever. Instead of mixing up a soap spray I just grabbed my Dawn Power wash spray. Seemed to work without hurting the plant

That is a terrible thing! What store did this happen at? I've been there concerned when that would happen at my stores I worked at? They should have alarms and backup generators but they don't always work. Have a good rest of your summer! 😃

@@JB-ug5mf It happened at a Real Canadian Superstore in the interior of BC. I know this store does have backup power supply but possibly only enough to power the checkouts. But even that day, they just closed the store until power was restored. I just resent the waste and people even agreed to sign waivers to buy the product so it didn't get thrown out. They would not do that. Hope you have a fine day and enjoy the balance of summer, too.

@@redmapleleaf4617 Thanks for writing back. At least most stores have closed cases that keep the cold in longer. When it happened for me they closed the store too but we tried to keep all the coolers and freezers closed and covered to not lose too much product. And, with the customers wanting to buy the stuff before it was thrown out the store just didn't want the hassle if someone sued because of the possibilty of bad food. Every SINGLE day in grocery stores there is a lot of food waste! It stinks. Grocery stores are forced to carry too many items to appeal to everyone - thanks to Walmart trying to undercut everybody. Bakery departments over produce so their displays look full but what doesn't sell only gets sent to a food bank once a week and not enough is reduced for quick sale (to entice people to pay full price). Cases come in damaged from the truck delivery and it is very frustrating because it's the warehouse who stacks pallets 10 feet high to save space and crushes cases because they're not stacked right. And they even send frozen and cold products next to each other where the frozen is thawed. It's not the truck driver's fault but they get the brunt of the worker's anger. I worked at stores for almost 25 years so I know a lot about this! What can you do.☹☹ SORRY FOR MY RANT! I wish you well and thanks for reading my comment! Take care and enjoy your day! 😃
