She talked about using the Wolfram Language in 3 different organizations (Indiana University with high throughout assessments from a proprietary instrument, UC Davis-affiliated collaborations with the EPA using their data covering much of the USA, and OpenAQ with even broader a geographical distribution of data beyond even the USA). I'm not sure which one you're referring to, but in either case, data cleaning is a common prerequisite to analysis and is performed well in the Wolfram Language.
