Israel had no good options. Israel should just keep their occupation of Gaza permanent and focus on special military operations. As the US did in Afghanistan.

Sadly that will never happen. Palestinians are willing to lay their lives down for this and so are all Arabs, Persians, Turks and Muslims. I am a Palestinian but I stand with Israel 110% on everything even though I’d love to have the right to return as a citizen. I’d fight for Israel and defend the existence of the Jewish state. My father was born in Haifa and on a horse my grandmother fled the fighting as during those days people were lined up and shot point blank. The nakbah was real. Israel made mistakes but it’s time for us to move on and end the blood shed. Forgiveness is powerful and we have the opportunity to create something beautiful here. Peace is beautiful and both sides need peace (Jews Christian Muslims Druze atheists etc…). It’s time we evolve as a people and realise that non of us own this land. We will all die and leave it behind. This earth belongs to the creator and only him. We are here to share it. The sooner we realise that we are all in this together, the sooner we will have peace. This will happen when we have an alien enemy threatening human kind as a whole sadly.

Watched the streets in Palestine fill with it's citizens in celebration after 9/11 terrorist attack. A consensus was taken in Palestine about a year ago showing that over 70 percent of its citizenry supported Hamas.
The value of honesty, clarity and directness are immense and this man demonstrates them on a regular basis covering a sometimes "sensitive" topic. Thank God we have him!

The vast majority of Gazans have been educated to hate Israel. The destruction of Israel is part of their last day beliefs. Many peoples have last day beliefs that include some group of people who will lose out during the last days. Most people however don't think they have to rejoice while removing that other group with their own hands. Just like human sacrifices on an alter are not acceptable. At least not legally or morally acceptable to the vast majority of people on earth. Wanting to remove a group of people because of their ethnic heritage, religious beliefs, or cultural background, the color of their skin, hair, eye, the language they speak, the hand they write with, or ever so many other traits by the method of people murdering people by any human means should not be legally or morally acceptable.

You should ask this question about Israeli society. They live in a free democracy and for sixty years have chosen occupation, apartheid in the Westbank, siege in Gaza and now war crimes, crimes against humanity and possibly genocide. It is obvious which society needs to change its course & has a problem with violence (e.g. celebrating the killing of women & children on social media).
I despair for Israel struggling to survive & surrounded by those that wish its destruction. Many around the world salute Israel & wish it much success.

The old community of Jews that used to live in Gaza perished in Islamist riots of 1929, concurrent with dozens of other communities, the massacre in Hebron was documented, you can see the photos of that ISIS style massacre in archives of the NYT. Photos like the gut churning photos of the massacre of Oct. 7 only in black and white. *In 1929 the massacres were committed mostly by mobs. 1929 is 19 years before the reinstitution of Israel, 38 years before Israel got into Gaza strip, 37 years before the process of appropriating the title Palestinians by Arabs has even started.

Snowden... numerous others... why are they not receiving the same praise? Why do the definitions change when it comes to people who are exposing you vs people exposing your enemies. Imagine living on a street where ALL of your neighbors hate you intensely and want you to move away. Pretty intense wouldn't you say? Such is the case with Israel.
