I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma 2 months ago. I have 7 more chemo and radiation treatments left. My doctor said there were no new growth of cancer and very minimal cancer left. Thanks so much 🙏 for this video. ❤️
Diagnosed and brain surgery for same Nov 17, finished chemo/rad today. I get looked at again end of Feb. Fingers crossed. Thoughts are with you, I can relate.
@@lisaschoelles3316 yes it was. I was having headaches and passed out in the shower. Next thing I know, I was in the hospital and they removed the tumor while I was unconscious.
GBM is a horrific diagnosis. My oldest brother was diagnosed in April 2022, underwent a craniotomy with tumor debulking. He passed on June 28, 2022. Fly high in heaven. ✨🙏✨
Outside USA, my partner with GBM Gr 4, passed 17 mo, post diagnoses after aphasia as first sign of this. GBM, a most insidious cancer, appears with no apparent sign until too late for most. 3xdebulking surgeries, radio, chemo. Final 4 mo. --after treatment was halted as no bebefit--, seizures started, limb deficit, lossbif speech, frequent falls, final 4 wks comotosed. Very poor quality of life final 6mths. My prayers with you.
My loving aunt passed away last Feb 7, 2023, 18 months after her surgery in July 2021. She died peacefully in palliative care. GBM is really an aggressive type of cancer. We included a GBM awareness narrative in her funeral mass so people will know fully that early detection can save a life. We also pinned a gray ribbon as the cancer color related to the brain. Fly high mommy and I miss you so much :(
My brother god bless him .. lived with Glioblastom brain cancer “ the terminator “ for 4.5 yrs.. he died at the age of 48 yrs old. I miss him everyday 💗
My mother was just diagnosed with two plum sized tumors turns out its GBM she's 53 we were told we could have a few months to one year left with her. .. it so scary as family to hear this news this whole family has my prayers and my heart goes out to them dont give up the fight!
Me too…My husband had surgery last thu april 13 2023 and dr said he 1yr to live.I have 3 children and am afraid what they gonna feel😢…. Im loosing hope😢please pray for my family..
I rejoice to hear a family with so much love for one another. My mom raised us to share same love. Keep up the good work because only what we do for Christ will last!
Oh God, this vid is making me cry crazy. I've been a health fanatic all my adult life. Vegetarian, organic eater and a runner who is out every day doing ,4 to 6 mile runs. Was diagnosed with glioblastoma after having a golf ball sized tumor removed twice now from my brain. I was offered the O cap by my doctors but could not bare putting it on my head. I at first refused to do chemo and radiation until my boyfriend and family pressured me into it. I am not looking forward to the side effects. But I'm so wishing this gentleman great effects from the cap.
I’m 69 years old and did radiation and a year of chemo. I passed on the Optune. I run 3-5 miles a day and play softball and do dumbbells. It’s been 19 months and tumors are still gone. I have the unmethylated kind that supposedly chemo doesn’t work on. Stay busy and healthy. Even during chemo. If the tumor isn’t back after chemo you’ll feel better than before diagnosis.
George John Gerner III, 30, of New York City, died on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 at Mount Sinai in NYC with his family by his side after a courageous and inspiring 24+ month battle against Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM).
Crazy. And amazing. Almost how I found out about mine. Had 3 Nathan's hot dogs and a few Bluetooth Moons for dinner. Went to bed and woke up in the hospital. Said that had a massive seizure. Was the size of a marble or but it was the swell around it that caused the seizure. This was was back at the end of 2016. About to start my own Optune treat here soon finally and I can't wait!
My 42 year old little brother is 3.5 years survivor of Glioblastoma #4. He's had 3 open awake craniotomy surgeries over 3 years. The last one likely a big waste of time. Unfortunately now he's in inpatient hospice. Seizure control unable to stop seizures. He lost all strength, is unable to walk. Hes mostly a 1 word response kind of a guy now too. His doctors were great early on. But the longer he survived, and the more Belle curves he's surpassed, the more clueless the doctors seemed to get. My brothers longevity is actually not a blessing. All the capital health NJ doctors of his know NOTHING except surgery, temozolomide, and radiation. Small closed minds.
Debulking surgery is a blessing and a curse. It extends life but after each resection, more deficit are to be expected, until no more can be removed for almost certainty for post paralyses, seizures, falls, speech deficit --for front lobe affected--.
I don’t believe in Optune. They say it works in some but not others. I’m almost at 2 years and mine isn’t back. If I had used Optune I would probably believe it was the reason I’m still here. But my life is normal now. I have hair and play softball and run. I couldn’t see wearing that for 18 hours a day and shaving my head ever other day just lo live 4-6 months longer. Plus without insurance they charge $21,000 a month. For 2 years they make a million dollars from 2 people or their insurance. If they discovered in made people’s hair grow they would probably sell it for $999. The only reason they want $21,000 is because only 13,000 people get glioblastoma a year and they could make money. A car costs $21,000. This thing is wires you glue to your head and a battery pack for $21,000 and it’s not guaranteed to do anything.
I have a friend that started cannabis oil therapy for his Glioblastoma and was clear of his cancer..His dr talked him into chemo and radiation and 2 days after he started it the cancer was back in 2 places..Cannabis oil therapy works..Doctors not so much..
