Fighting Fire on a Submarine 

One of the scariest things about steam leaks is that you can’t see them. They used to tell use to use a broomstick to find them, as the steam would cut right through the wood. One of the most impactful training videos we ever watched was of a steam line rupture…the temps and humidity would cook you alive.

Only on a submarine can you be on fire, under fire, taking on water, underwater. It's a dangerous job!

Good video! I spent 20 years in submarines and was stationed on 4 different boats, the most amazing thing for me in your video is a 3 burner coffee station! I wonder if that's standard issue now?....LOL!

Did they put you in a EAB (Emergency Air Breathing) mask?? That is the system where you said they were getting Oxygen with hook ups all around the boat. It is commonly referred to as "sucking rubber"! I had to go from one end of the sub to the other with no way to see and do it all by feel for submarine qualification!

Also, there are different color of glow sticks. Injured personnel are red. It let's everyone know that is the injured person in a smoke filled compartment. Also, EABs don't provide oxygen like they are saying, it's compressed atmospheric air. So it is only about 21% oxygen.

When I served we didn’t have SCBA. We had an OBA. Which chemically produced oxygen in reaction to our breathing. The canister heated up quite a bit and was dangerous to handle immediately after use.

Can you please do a "shrunken man" themed video, & use a shrink-ray to reduce a guy down to one-inch tall? Then you can pick him up & hold him in your palm to talk to him. This can be done with after-effects or green screen. Then you can talk about if shrinking a man down small is actually possible, etc. Also, in the same video, can you please do a forced-perspective video, & have a guy stand very far away & then you hold out your hand so it's aligned with him? So, it'll look like your shrunk him down small & he's standing in your palm! Really hope you can do everything above, that'd be great!

Those FFEs are a bear to put on, especially when they give you one meant for a miniature human when you're anything but... It was a good time, but happy to have it in the past. Enjoy your videos!
