Raw interview gentlemen, spine chilling recaps of operations and the collateral damage inflicted. Amazed by the Ct's attitude towards fellow countrymen!! Thank you both for your talk!

Tony that was only one of the atrocities that the CTs dished out to the local populace that l witnessed. I really felt for the locals as they were between a rock and a hard place when it came to supporting us or the CTs. Of course if they gave us int then they would be considered to be "sell outs" & after a kangaroo court in front of the whole village (kraal) they would be dispatched with a bullet or severely beaten up. In the whole 8 years of the war l never touched a local. Saw no point in interegating them. I would leave that to SB

Thank you Greg. I think my 3 talks only covered about 1/3rd of what happened to me. Unfortunately memories came flooding back & l would forget what l was going to talk about. Flitted over things that actually l meant to speak in depth about

I meant to say when Andre Rabe was killed that it was CJ (& not Andre) that was down in the riverbed tracking & it was one of the flankers who were up on the banks of the dry river who shot Andre. Also at Hot Springs l was leading in 6 sticks of 5 Indep Co to their OP positions along an escarpment & the following morning a sweep line of troops would sweep towards the escarpment hopefully to generate movement of terrs which we would spot from our OPs

Hell Hudson, no rest for the wicked 😂 l know that Gavin Mawdesley was an underground surveyor for ACM in Mtorashanga. & after that camp all his call ups were surveying PV perimeter fences

@@calummackenzie1797 Thanks for the interview, Callum. 5RR by 1979 had changed dramatically, every call up, met guys at pre deployment battle camps that I had never seen or worked with. That was quite scary. I then fortunately moved to Training Troupe with Captain Bob Lines, ex SAS (UK) and Rhodesia. 6 weeks intensive courses at Inkomo

Try remembering what it was like on radio watch on the TR48 and and deciphering Shackle with deafening interference. Then this recording seems pretty bloody good.
