Daphne Bryan is the author of a recently published book titled “Parkinson’s and the B1 Therapy”. After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease over twelve years prior, she was told that there was no way to halt the progression of this condition.
In 2017, she was introduced to the work of the late Italian neurologist Dr Antonio Costantini, who pioneered the use of mega-dose vitamin B1 (thiamine) as a treatment for Parkinson’s disease. Although not a cure, him and his team treated over 2,500 patients with thiamine and witnessed excellent results far beyond what could be achieved using traditional medications.
A few months after starting B1, she eventually noticed that many of her Parkinson's symptoms had all but resolved. After networking with many others who were also seeing similar improvements, it became clear that this therapy held great promise despite it being mostly unknown. Through the years, Daphne has gained precious insight into the practical application of thiamine for Parkinson's and recently published a book which outlines Costantini's approach and focuses on providing detailed guidance on how to use this therapy from a layman's perspective.

THANK YOU! This is fascinating and so helpful! My husband has Parkinson’s and about a month ago decided on my own to start him on the Benfotamine version of B1, and then today I saw your vid. My husband already seems a bit better, but he has only been on the vitamin a short time. I also give him Vitamin B12 (Methycobalamin) as well as organic nutritional yeast which he adds to his breakfast cereal. I also buy as much organic foods as I can. I think the fact that this isn’t studied is, sadly, a testament to the greed and selfishness of pharma, who want to be able to sell their drugs.

Yes, get all vit B’s, trace minerals and oil up; vit e, olive oil. The thing about it is, these base building blocks are essential for the others to build upon. I have been wondering for a while now, if this is an extreme case of pernicious anemia. Another form of this folic acid, B1 and magnesium, manganese deficiency is aphasia. Wernickys disease is an extreme loss of Vitamin B’s. You have to sleep. The brain needs to get to a deep sleep to flush out protein debris. Sleep 4 times more then you you think you need to. Take water soluble in the morning and minerals at night. Think of it like an assembly line, you need all the correct parts at the right time, in the right order. Your body knows where to put it, it has a priority system. Sleep for a few hours, get up move around, then rest your body, sleep again, get up move around, rest and sleep, get up move around, and then rest, sleep some more. How do you expect to heal if you are expending all the energy being active??? Mitochondria are the energy producing cells. The brain has a lot of functions. We are talking about fundamental, 1st layer building blocks, every thing rests upon them. It is not so much the large quantity as the right amount going to very tiny places. Thiamine takes about 4 to 8 weeks to get into the right spots in the right quantity. It’s a trace amount. Myelin sheaths and other parts of the brain are made of lipids, you also have lipid in ligaments, tendons and between muscle fiber. When you build anything, some parts are small some are medium sized, some are large. Vitamins and hormones play many roles. Vitamins are structure, anti oxidants, enzymes and catalysts. Some create some remove. Fundamental Biology and Chemistry. Results will vary between individuals according to the supply of stock resources.

Since then I have nerve damage , tingling and could hardly stand anything touch my hand. After being on B1 for about 5 days I noticed my fingers are almost normal. No pain or tingling . Thats all I had changed . Im amazed. I wasn't even expecting that at all. Its great. Im telling everyone. So my husband had a stroke 2 years ago and parkinson type symptoms. I wondered if it could help him. After about a week , he's up at 9a not noon. Awake most of the day. Eating well, talking better .im so thankful I saw this on Dr Berg video for bladder leakage. His Mum had Parkinson's but none of his siblings had it. It's difficult to know sometimes for sure what causes certain illnesses. I've seen some people living very unhealthy lifestyles who seem to be good into their old age and vice versa. You need more than just B1 for your situation. Vitamins D and A are extremely important too. And healthy fats are very important to healing too. Try wheat germ oil, avocado oil, walnut oil, MCT oil, or extra Virgin olive oil. Increasing fats will help you to heal more quickly. But also Vitamins and minerals supplements are crucial. Try daily saunas, to remove toxins from your system. May God bless your journey. 🙏

If you haven't already you may want to look into the ketogenic diet for Fibromyalgia. The main drugs they use to treat fibromyalgia are anti-epileptic drugs (gabapentin and pregabalin). The ketogenic diet has been used for epilepsy for over 100 yrs and is still used as standard of care when drugs don't work because it's more effective than the drugs, so it's not too surprising that it works. In my experience it also has many positive/helpful side effects, unlike the drugs.

Hi, that's interesting which supplements do you take that help the ME
@margaretsmith2351
@margaretsmith2351 Год назад
@@veerani6164 Hi there. Where to start. I take quite a lot. A handful of disclaimers. Firstly I'm not in anyway medically qualified so I'm not trying to make out in any way shape or form that this is medical advice. It's just what I have picked up from other sufferers on social media sites, studies I've read and from people like Dr Sarah Myhill. Plus we are all different. Secondly, I've had ME for 30+ years, Fibro for 10+ and whilst this is one of the few things that helps me, it's in no way a cure, it just seems to help. Thirdly, remember that the quality and format of vitamins and supplements can make a big difference. Fourthly, bearing the other 3 points in mind, everyone needs to do their own research and find out what works for them. Right, the actual meds. I'm going to mention some things several times because they address more than one issue but I only take them once, I don't double or triple up in tablet form. In all cases I take tablet or capsule form unless otherwise stated. The first thing I take is a good multi-vitamin. I take both tablet and powder form. I do that for general overall health and because it's my understanding that having a good background level of vitamins and minerals helps the absorption of other single ones that we make take to address specific issues. Then additionally to address the immune issues I take vitD, vitC, zinc and lugol's idodine (2 drops per day). I also take ascorbic acid (vitC) in powder form. I have regular issues with anaemia and pre 2020 I was supposedly on B12 injections for life but covid put pay to that and the surgery have refused to restart them. So they told me to take B12 tablets instead, though they're not as good because they are not as easily absorbed. I don't take iron because I think that is a more problematic one to self administer so I only take iron supplements when the GP prescribes them if the anaemia is iron deficiency. For the neurological symptoms (inc pain, tics, twitches & spasms, and restless leg) I take magnesium, B12, vitk2, zinc, selenium and potassium. To address the mitochondrial/energy issues I take CoQ10 (gel capsules). Additionally, (just to cover all the bases 😀) I use transdermal sprays after a shower of magnesium, b12, vitc with DMSO (an organic sulphur used to treat arthritis) and a multivitamin containing magnesium, zinc, iron, boron, iodine, copper, manganese, molybdenum, selenium, chromium, vitB12 and vitD3. Yes I know it's a lot, but it seems if my blood tests are anything to go by, like many people with ME, I have absorption issues so I tend to take more than most people would need. Plus I firmly believe the NHS recommended levels for most vitamins and supplements are woefully low. Especially for vitD and B12. Hope that helps but if you or anyone has any other suggestions I would welcome them. It's so hard to get help with these things from the NHS we have to rely on our own research.

I would say that if it dose you're taking doesn't show any improvement in 2 weeks than you should double it or take 250 mg for 2 weeks. If that shows improvement. Stay at that dosage. If it doesn't, maybe move up to 500 mg for the same 2 week....

I haven't seen anything about it's effectiveness for Parkinson's, mainly because I haven't looked, but it does seem to be very beneficial for many neurological conditions so it may.

I still drink coffee which has been reduced to two cups per day. I began Thiamax with the B Complex yesterday and, found that the diarrhea was less but, I had to reduce the Thiamine to 100mg due to being over stimulated. However, the calming effect was amazing. I didn't feel any type of psychotic episodes that I do normally in the past. I feel good today. I am 65 years old and, a plan to live a healthy long life having fun! I was experiencing parkinsonism-like symptoms and found improvement from ultra-high dose methylcobalamin injections (B12)...I needed doses that were 40 to 50 times what would be used for a b12 deficiency in order to address my symptoms. I tried b1 therapy first but saw no real change. With the ultra-high dose methylcobalamin, I haven't had any worsening of symptoms and I noticed improvement within 24 hours. My B12 blood test has always been on the high end of normal. My doctor's just think it's a placebo effect, unfortunately. I disagree. I'd be willing to bet they could try to trick me with saline injections and I would know pretty quickly if I was being given the real thing or not.

Benfotiamine is half the puzzle. The other half is gut health for optimal absorption of nutrition and a squeaky clean diet to avoid toxicity: rule out SIFO/SIBO infections/learn to avoid refined added sugars (read labels), grains(irritants), dairy (irritants/allergens/antibiotics...), and processed foods in general (artificial enrichments of B vitamins/little real nutrition). Whole foods diet as your staple. Be aware of what Herxheimer reaction's are (sugar withdrawal, sugar microbe dye off...they release toxins and more). Sugar is a drug 7-10x more addictive than cocaine and highly inflammatory. This and your genome vulnerability drives inflammatory weight gain. Inflammation drives disease. Books: The End of Alzheimer's/Dale Bredesen; Dirty Genes/Ben Lynch; Dumping Iron by Mangan; Fat for Fuel/Mercola. Gives a background in how metabolism works/fails. Helps you trouble shoot your body like a car. Functional Medicine heals. Pharma medicine is a symptom suppression therapy model so it only treats symptoms as disease rages underneath til death do you part. Mad yet?
